Nicosia, Jun 21 (CNA) -- Finance Minister Takis Klerides is paying an official visit to China at the invitation of Chinese minister for External Trade and Economic Cooperation Shi Guangsneng, during which he will sign a cooperation protocol between China and Cyprus.

In a statement at Larnaca airport before his departure, Klerides said the protocol would contribute to the further strengthening of bilateral relations between Cyprus and China.

Nicosia, Jun 21 (CNA) - The Meteorological Office at Larnaca International Airport has issued the following weather forecast for Cyprus:

Friday and Saturday: 22/06/2001 to 29/06/2001

The weather will be mostly fine with light to moderate sea breezes. The sea will be slight. The temperature will range from 20 to 35 degrees inland and from 20 to 30 on the coast.

Outlook for Sunday and Monday: 30/06/2001 to 31/06/2001

The weather will remain mostly fine. The temperature will rise slightly.
