    [01] Weather forecast for Cyprus

    Nicosia, Jun 18 (CNA) - The Meteorological Office at Larnaca International Airport has issued the following weather forecast for Cyprus:

    Tuesday and Wednesday: 19/06/2001 to 20/06/2001

    The weather will be fine with light to moderate sea breezes. The sea will be slight and the temperature will range from 21 to 34 inland and from 20 to 30 on the coast.

    Outlook for Thurday and Friday: 21/06/2001 to 22/06/2001

    Remaininge mostly fine with some patchy cloud over Troodos forming in the afternoon. The temperature will decrease slightly.

    Sea Temperature: 25C.

    [02] President Clerides - Health - Tests

    Nicosia, Jun 18 (CNA) - Cyprus President Glafcos Clerides will be admitted to "Evangelistria" private clinic tomorrow, for regular tests and check-ups, a year after he had undergone surgery to remove a polyp from his large intestine.

    Government Spokesman Michalis Papapetrou announced today that the President was "expected to be discharged on Thursday, June 21". CNA/GSA/RG/GP/2001

    [04] Spokesman - National Council

    Nicosia, Jun 18 (CNA) -- The National Council, the island's top advisory body to the President on the handling of the Cyprus problem will meet again on June 26 to continue discussion on developments in the Cyprus problem, the island's EU accession course as well as ways to improve its effectiveness.

    This was announced here today by Government Spokesman Michalis Papapetrou after a three-and-a-half hour session, the first since the 27 May parliamentary elections. CNA/RM/GP/2001
