FM Kasoulides - Sweden - EU
Nicosia, May 6 (CNA) -- Foreign Minister Ioannis Kasoulides is in Sweden to
represent Cyprus at an informal meeting of European Union Foreign Affairs
Ministers with their counterparts from the candidate countries, to be held
today in Nykoping, home of the Swedish Minister for Foreign Affairs, Anna
Lindh.
According to the preliminary programme for the meeting, the Foreign
Ministers will examine how the EU will work to prepare the 2004
Intergovernmental Conference, which will deal with the future of Europe,
and the various measures that have to be taken and which will lead to
European integration.

Cyprus - Kurds - Assembly
Nicosia, May 6 (CNA) -- Representative of the Kurdish Democratic People's
Union in the Balkans Ahmed Dere today will attend the first Assembly of the
Cultural Association of Kurds in Cyprus, to be held in the southern coastal
town of Limassol.
According to a press release issued by the Association, Kurds living
temporarily on the island will attend the Assembly.
