  • [01] Turkish Cypriot teachers - Occupation regime - Revolt Nicosia, Feb 2 (CNA) -- A revolt by the Turkish Cypriot Teachers' Union (KTOS) against Ankara's stance towards the Turkish Cypriots reflects the general climate prevailing among Turkish Cypriots, not only against Turkey but also towards the illegal regime in the Turkish occupied north, Cyprus government sources told the Cyprus News Agency today. Invited to assess a KTOS announcement published in Turkish Cypriot newspapers earlier this week and the opening of an "investigation" against its members, the same sources expressed concern and warned that the illegal regime in the areas of Cyprus occupied by Turkey since 1974 did not hesitate in the past to use fascist methods, going as far as killing its opponents.
