Cyprus - EU - Rapid reaction force

Nicosia, Nov 22 (CNA) - Cyprus Government Spokesman, Michalis Papapetrou, said today that reactions by the Turkish occupation regime regarding Cyprus' participation in the European Union (EU) rapid reaction force were "hypocritical and unfounded", adding that the government, through its EU accession course, wishes to participate in all EU institutions.

Papapetrou said there were legal obstacles neither in Cyprus' accession nor in its participation in the defence sector, noting that Cyprus could not be left to paralyse either in the interior or in its international relations.
