[03] Cyprus - EU - Economic assistance agreements
Nicosia, Aug 7 (CNA) -- Finance Minister Takis Klirides and Head of the
European Union delegation here, Donato Chiarini, today signed agreements
for economic assistance of Cyprus in the framework of the Fourth Financial
Protocol, worth some 5 million euro.
The agreements provide for 1,4 million euro for harmonisation with the
acquis communautaire, 1,4 million euro to finance the participation of
Cyprus in the Fifth Framework/Programme for research and technological
development and 2.424.000 euro for the Development of Civil Society.
