    [01] Government Spokesman - Cyprus - T/C leader

Nicosia, Jun 5 (CNA) -- The government considers statements made by Turkish Cypriot leader Rauf Denktash that he will interrupt the third round of the UN sponsored talks to return to the occupied areas as an effort to "demote and ridicule" the procedure.

Government Spokesman Michalis Papapetrou, speaking to reporters today, called on the international community not to allow the Turkish Cypriot leader to do whatever he wants, reiterating that the most significant thing is for the occupation leader to come forward with a different approach in order to break the deadlock.
