[02] Russian ambassador - Cyprus question
Nicosia, Dec 27 (CNA) -- Russian Ambassador to Cyprus Georgi Mouradov
stressed here today his country's dedication to UN resolutions on Cyprus
which, as he pointed out, provide the basis for a just and viable solution
to the Cyprus problem.
Speaking after a meeting with Cyprus Foreign Minister Ioannis
Kasoulides, the Russian Ambassador noted Moscow's role in the adoption of
the recent UN Security Council resolution 1283 extending the UN
Peacekeeping force in Cyprus (UNFICYP) mandate.

[03] Cyprus - Trade statistics
Nicosia, Dec 27 (CNA) -- Cyprus' total imports and exports fell slightly
during January-September 1999 as compared with the same period in 1998.
According to official foreign trade statistics for the period January-
September 1999 released today, total imports covering imports for home
consumption and imports into bonded warehouses totalled 1.398,9 million
pounds as compared with 1.406,3 million pounds in January-September 1998.
(one Cyprus pound = 1,8 US dollars)
