[01] YUGOSLAV PRIME MINISTER, SWEDISH ENVOY DISCUSS PROMOTION OF RELATIONSBelgrade, June 4 (Tanjug) - Yugoslav Prime Minister Radoje Kontic and Swedish Foreign Ministry Undersecretary Anders Bjorner on Tuesday discussed the restoration and upgrading of the two countries' relations.Kontic and Bjorner agreed that a series of measures at the inter-state level should follow the return of numerous Swedish companies to the Yugoslav market and create atmosphere for a speedier and comprehensive bilateral cooperation. It was agreed to analyse and extend numerous inter-state agreements, primarily those on economic and cultural cooperation, to spur on and protect investments and avoid double taxation. Kontic praised Sweden for its unbiased and principled attitude in the crisis in the former Yugoslavia, which was a substantial contribution to its settlement. Speaking about the implementation of the Dayton agreement, Bjorner said that the Swedish Government appreciated Yugoslavia's peace policy since the beginning of the crisis and hoped that Yugoslavia would continue making crucial contributions to the stabilization of peace in the Balkans. Kontic stressed Yugoslavia's readiness to continue investing efforts for a consistent implementation of the Dayton agreement, in which Yugoslavia rightly expected comprehensive support by other countries and international institutions. Kontic said that Yugoslavia could realize the crucial role of a stabilizing factor in the region only if it was stable and prosperous itself, which is why it must become an equal member of the international community, Kontic said. [02] YUGOSLAV FOREIGN MINISTER CONFERS WITH SWEDISH DIPLOMATBelgrade, June 4 (Tanjug) - Yugoslav Foreign Minister Milan Milutinovic received on Tuesday Undersecretary at the Swedish Foreign Ministry Anderss Bjurner, the Yugoslav Foreign Ministry said. Bjurner is on a three-day visit to the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia at the invitation of Yugoslav Assistant Foreign Minister Zivadin Jovanovic.Jovanovic and Bjurner held talks on the promotion of bilateral cooperation and developments in the former Yugoslavia and the Balkans. [03] YUGOSLAV GOVERNMENT DISCUSSES MONETARY POLICYBelgrade, June 4 (Tanjug) - The Yugoslav Government on Tuesday discussed the country's monetary policy to the end of year. The Government stands firm on the position that the monetary policy until the end of the year will have to be conducive to the implementation of the overall economic policy, particularly in preserving a stable exchange rate of the national currency and realizing production and export plans.The Government said that the monetary policy, as the main instrument for preserving stability of a currency, should be based on the real foreign currency reserves and follow the pace of the production growth and the realization of export targets. The National Bank of Yugoslavia should take adequate monetary measures to secure a stable exchange rate of the dinar and to stimulate production and export. The Government maintains that full financial discipline is needed and supports all activities of the central bank aimed at controlling the financial reliability and lawfulness of the banks and other financial organizations. The Government said the main objectives of the monetary policy were conducive to a normalization of relations between Yugoslavia and the International Monetary Fund and other international financial institutions. [04] YUGOSLAVIA HAS TALKS WITH PARIS CLUB OF CREDITORSParis, June 4 (Tanjug) - A Government delegation of the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia and ranking officials of the Paris Club of creditors discussed on Tuesday regulating Yugoslavia's debt to the club members and creating conditions for resuming cooperation. The officials exchanged views on all open questions, describing the discussion as very useful to both sides, Yugoslav delegation sources said.The two sides decided that contacts should continue, parallel with talks with the International Monetary Fund, to create conditions for Yugoslavia's full integration in world financial bodies and normalisation of relations and cooperation with the Paris Club. BOSNIA AND HERZEGOVINA[05] IPTF SPOKESMAN SAYS SERBS IN SARAJEVO HARASSED, ROBBED DAILYBelgrade, June 4 (Tanjug) - Spokesman of the International Police Task Force (IPTF) Alexander Ivanko said Tuesday the force received reports on a daily basis on the harassment of Serbs in Sarajevo's districts of Grbavica and Ilidza.Ivanko accused authorities of the Moslem-Croat Federation of having done nothing to protect the rights of the Serb minority. 'The few remaining Serbs continue to be intimidated an robbed and their property expropriated,' Reuters quoted Ivanko. Spokesman of the UNHCR Kris Janowski referred to the case of an elderly Serb who he said had been beaten up five times in the past 10 days. 'When we took him to the hospital he had four broken ribs as well as his jaw...when he went to complain to the (Moslem-Croat Federation) police he encountered hostility. we are very concerned,' Janowski said. REPUBLIKA SRPSKA[06] REPUBLIKA SRPSKA PARLIAMENT SPEAKER FOR ELECTIONS AT SET TIMEPale, June 4 (Tanjug) - Republika Srpska Parliament Speaker Momcilo Krajisnik said Tuesday that Republika Srpska would do all in its power to ensure that elections in Bosnia are held as scheduled, and said he saw no reason to block them. He said this after meeting special UN Envoy Igbal Riza.Krajisnik added that the international community had to have a better feeling for cooperation and should not make hasty moves without agreement with the Serbs, because this could lead to incidents. ON JASENOVAC MEMORIAL CENTRE[07] HOLOCAUST MEMORIAL CENTRE ADDRESSES LETTER TO TUDJMANTel Aviv, June 4 (Tanjug) - The Yad Vashem Holocaust Memorial Centre in Jerusalem has said in a letter to Croatian President Franjo Tudjman that it was inconceivable to bury nazi butchers in the Memorial Centre of Jasenovac where lie their countless victims exterminated in WW II nazi genocide.The letter said that it was inconceivable for Jasenovac to be a memorial centre to Jewish victims and their cruel gaolers - the ustashi (Croatian fascists) and that it would not only mean an attempt to rehabilitate fascist criminals but also an unforgivable violation of the memory of the victims. Jasenovac must be a monument and memorial centre of the victims of fascism.
