NEWS REVIEW, REPUBLIKA SRPSKA

BANJA LUKA - The delegates of the National assembly of Republika Srpska /RS/ adopted, after seven hours discussion the agenda and first item - the minutes from the fourth session, and the session will be continued on May 13 at 9,00 h by the statement of the premier Milorad Dodik about the work of the Government in the period from January 19 until April 29, 1998. The third out of 26 items is considering the report about the work of representatives of RS in Joint organs of B&H - the president in the Presidency of B&H Momcilo Krajisnik, co-presiding in the Council of Ministers Boro Bosic, and delegates in the House of the people's representatives in Parliamentary assembly of B&H from RS. The delegates will discuss about the implementation and control of elections in Rs and FB&H, scheduled for September 12 and 13. The Assembly will consider the previous course of implementation of results of local elections in RS and the proposal of the Amendments on the Constitution of RS.

BANJA LUKA - The president of the National Assembly of RS Dragan Kalinic stated after the first day of the session of Serbian parliament in Banja Luka, that the assembly cannot function without the minimum of accordance between delegate clubs about many issues, including the agenda. "When I tried to programme the agenda- what is in a way my right according to the Rules of Procedure of Assembly - the reactions were that it is not harmonised with the chiefs of delegate clubs" - said Kalinic.

BRCKO - The British Ambassador to Sarajevo Charles Crawford praised in Brcko, in the name of the delegation of EU to this city, the work of RS Government and added that this community will do everything to introduce again RS and FR Yugoslavia into Europe. "The situation in Brcko is being changed in positive direction. All problems are not solved yet, but good conditions for that are created", assessed Crawford at the press conference.

BANJA LUKA - The Office of the UN Mission to Banja Luka announced that the inauguration of police which will be organised in Livno on Saturday by the Canton 10 authorities is not legal, stressing that the Mission has decided that it has to be done later. The fact that the representatives of international community were not present at the mentioned ceremony talks for itself", is stated in the announcement communicated to SRNA and added that UN Mission believes that establishing the mixed police will be continued according to reached agreement on April 28 in Livno.

BELGRADE - In Belgrade was continued the second round of talks between the former and current U.S. envoys for Balkans Richard Holbrooke and Robert Gelbard with the president of FR Yugoslavia Slobodan Milosevic. The eU.S. envoys went into the U.S. Embassy after the first round of talks, and returned late afternoon into the Serbian White House on the continuation of talks.

RATKOVAC - In the attack of Albanian terrorists on the police patrol in the vicinity of the village Ratkovac, municipality Orahovac, was killed the policeman Aleksandar Micic while heavy injures has got his colleagues Sasa Djurisic and Milivoje Zakic, all from Velika Hoca - reports SRNA correspondent. As stated for SRNa by the surgeon in the Clinic in Pristina Stojan Sekulic MD, in question are the heavy injuries of legs and arms, so the wounded policemen will be transported to Belgrade for the further health treatment.

PRISTINA - In the village Stropac near Istok around 16,00 h the Albanian terrorists invaded the house of Milorad Mirkovic, abused his wife Cveta [72] and taken away the hunting gun and carbine. In the moment of searching in the house the host Mirkovic was with his herd far from home.

UZICE - The professor of the Belgrade's School of Law Vojin Dimitrijevic stated that by interfering into the problems in Kosovo the international community is attempting to prevent the conflict to be transferred into the neighbouring countries. In the statement for Radio Uzice he stressed that widening the Kosovo conflict on Albania could lead to conflicts in FYRM, Bulgaria and Greece which is not in good relations with Turkey, and then arises, what everybody is scared of, great Balkan crisis.
