NEWS REVIEW, REPUBLIKA SRPSKA

BANJALUKA - A couple of Serbian returnees to Drvar, Mileva and Vojin Trninic, who were killed on April 16, will be buried at 3.00 pm in the graveyard Trninic brijeg in Drvar.

AMSTERDAM - A priest of the Orthodox Holland eparchy Dojcilo Vlajkovic will visit Serbs tomorrow, who are currently in the prison of the Hague War Crime Tribunal in Seveningen where, along with them, he will say an Easter prayer. On their individual prison accounts will be paid in 1,500 DM from donations organised by Vlajkovic and members of the Church Council.

SARAJEVO - A Federal Public Prosecutor Vukasin Jovanovic announced that FRY would submit a request to Argentina judiciary for extradition of ustasha's commander of concentration camp Jasenovac, Dinko Sakic, as soon as they finish completing of documentation. Jovanovic explained that the request for that was grounded on four arguments - "Sakic is a citizen of Yugoslavia; the state commission of previous Yugoslavia proclaimed him a war criminal: most of the victims in Jasenovac were Serbs; in the international law are known cases where the war criminals were tried in other countries no matter their citizenship... AMSTERDAM - Holland correspondents from Kosovo radically changed notions and instead of paramilitary they call Albanian terrorists 'guerrillas', about leader of Albanians from Kosovo as 'the President Rugova', Pristina became a 'capital' and nationalism 'national awareness'. Holland media are ful of admiration for "historical memory" of the Albanians, who convey memories on arms clashes with Serbs through generations.

NEWS REVIEW, REPUBLIKA SRPSKA

BANJALUKA - The Republika Srpska vice-president (RS) Ostoja Kremenovic and Ministers of Defence and Judiciary Manojlo Milovanovic and Petko Cancar had talks in Banjaluka with the attorney general of the Hague War Crime Tribunal Louis Arbour about cooperation of RS and the Tribunal. The vice- president said that they had talked about all forms of cooperation between the RS institutions and the Hague War Crime Tribunal. Louis Arbour said that she was encouraged with recent surrenders of persons accused of alleged war crimes.

SARAJEVO - The NATO Secretary General Dr. Javier Solana and members of the North Atlantic Council in Permanent Session had talks in the SFOR centre in Ilidza with members of the B&H Military Committee about implementation of the Dayton Peace Accord in RS and FB&H. The SFOR department for information deputy commander Henry Wincler stated for SRNA that Solana would be accompained by the Supreme Allied Commander Europe General Wesley K. Clark and Chairman of the Military Committee general Claus Naumann. Czechoslovakian, Polish and Rumanian ambassadors participated in talks as observes. Instead of the permanent member of the Committee from RS Momcilo Krajisnik, the meeting was attended by his counsellor for military affairs Dragan Kapetina.

BANJALUKA - A Serb couple returnees to Drvar, Mileva and Vojin Trninic will be buried at 3:00 p.m. in the Trninic brijeg graveyard in Drvar. Their bodies were brought to Drvar after an autopsy in base the SFOR German battalion in Sarajevo. A specialist of forensic medicine form Banjaluka Zeljko Karan confirmed that on Mileva's body was a wound caused by a pistol shot on her back, while her husband Vojin had three wounds, one of them caused death. According to him it is most probable that they were killed during sleep.

PRISTINA - Albanians terrorists, using hand grenades, mortars and infantry arms, were attacking until this morning refugee camp in Babaoc near Decani. In that camp live Serbian families who run away from Albania in the 1980s - SRNA has learned from sources close to the Serbia Internal affairs Ministry. All 123 families have been moved out to Decane. Terrorists were in control of the road Djakovica-Decani which is now again under Serbian control. Albanian terrorists have occupied villages of Glamocelj, Glodjane, Rznic, Dubrava, Crni breg, Prilib, Ratise, Ljubarda and Maznik.

BELGRADE - The FRY Army general staff issued an announcement that "the FRY border guards prevented an illegal crossing of another group of terrorists from Albania to FRY, and on the spot they found a certain amount of arms and military equipment". "In the region 'Morina' watchower, the FRY Army patrol discovered 5 persons in attempt of illegal border crossing" - said the FRY general staff.

VIENNA - A war in Kosovo would extend on the entire Balkans and would be a real massacre because Albanian population do not have heavy arms nor trained soldiers - assessed in Pristina a Secretary of the province Committee for Information Bosko Drobnjak, emphasising that "Serbs will never begin a war". In an interview with Austrian news agency APA he said that crisis in Kosovo and Metohija was an internal matter of Serbia.

BONN - Representatives of the Contact Group will have a meeting in Rome on April 29 i order to discuss current situation in Kosovo, few days after a deadline for Belgrade - conveys AFP citing the German Foreign Affairs Ministry. The session will be held at the level of political directors of six countries of the Contact Group, is said from the same source.

SKOPLJE - The U.S. have decided to cooperate with the BJRM on security plan in order for borders toward FRY and Albania to be safe and stable - said the American State Secretary Deputy Strob Talbot and chief of staff of the U.S. joined military forces general Henry Shelton. During talks with the Macedonian President Kiro Gligorov a general Shelton confirmed that the U.S. troops would continue to participate in the UNPREDEP mission.

PODGORICA - The Montnegrin President Milo Djukanovic will visit tomorrow, on the invitation of the State Department , the U.S. where he will have talks with representatives of the American Congress and administration. Along with Milo Djukanovic Montenegrin Foreign Affairs Minister Branko Perovic and a counsellor for Foreign Policy affairs Milan Rocen will be there.

BIJELJINA - Association of Delegates' Club of the first convocation of the RS National assembly said that "unity of people and policy, declared by delegates of the first convocation from the very beginning of RS, is jeopardised with political disputes, misunderstandings between parties". It was said in a letter forwarded by the Association to the RS President Biljana Plavsic, President in the B&H Presidency from RS Momcilo Krajisnik and President of the Parliament Dragan Kalinic and RS Prime Minister Milorad Dodik. "The Delegates' club of the first RS Assembly convocation, who for the first time in former B&H represented rights and interests of its own people, are looking for national unity, national programme and aims obligatory for all Serb political parties.

MUENCHEN - German public prosecutor and leader of the Department for fight against corruption in Muenchen prosecutor's office Franz-Hermann Breuner start fight against corruption in B&H within special investigative group - DPA reported. On the request of the German Foreign Affairs Ministry in Bonn, Bavarian Minister of Judiciary Hermann Leeb placed Breuner at the OHR disposal in B&H.

THE HAGUE - A Serb Zoran Zigic, accused of alleged war crimes in Omarska and Keratern near Prijedor, pleaded not guilty on all charges of the indictment, on his first appearance before the Hague War Crimes Tribunal - AFP reported. Zigic was accused that as one of 19 members of Serb group participated in harassments and molesting of prisoners in Omarska. In the continuation of trial Zigic must answer all questions related to Keraterm camp, one of the charges in the indictment, where alleged tortures and murders of prisoners took place in July in 1995.

BELGRADE - Association for help to refugees and displaced persons in FRY issued a request for change of conditions in handling of foreign currency savings. The association demands that "refugees with these savings in banks in FB&H must be uncoditionaly compensated, not to be legally limited in handling of the savings and for the deadline for submitting of requests to be in accordance with a deadline for submitting of requests for return of tenancy rights i.e. April 28 in 1998."

SARAJEVO - The NATO Secretary General Javier Solana said in Sarajevo that elections in September in B&H are extremely important for the future and all factors including the international community and people must cooperate. At a press-conference in Sarajevo he expressed hope that on the elections would be elected leadership for future. "With the B&H Presidency we had talks about current situation and we put a certain pressure when it comes to return of refugees issue. We also discussed preparations for elections in September" - said Solana.

PRNJAVOR - Assistant for legal affairs in the RS Defence Ministry lieutenant colonel Jovan Djogo reached an agreement in Prnjavor with commissioner of Ministry of Communications with Serbs out of Serbia Velemir Simeuncevic, on distribution of financial help to children of killed soldiers and disabled veterans of the I and II category in RS. Representatives of Ministry of Veteran Affairs and RS Defence Ministry will hold a meeting with the secretary of Serbian Ministry of Communications with Serbs out of Serbia Mrs. Jovanka Travar on distribution of the financial help.

PRISTINA - Serbs and Montenigrens from Babaloc, who run away this morning because of the Albanian attack in Decane started to come home - SRNA correspondent reported. They asked for a protection in Decane from representatives of the local authorities, saying that otherwise they would go to Montenegro.

VUKOVAR - The President of the Independent Democratic Party Vojislav Stanimirovic call the attention in Vukovar on increased moving out of Serbs from the regions of Tenje, Mirkovci, Markusica and Sodolovci, from where around 50% of Serb population already left. According to him Serbs are still leaving form the Eastern Slavonia, while Croats return slowly. After the meeting with the OSCE High Commissioner for Minority Max van der Stul, he said that the High Commissioner had supported analysis of the situation in the region, on which he was informed today by representatives of Serbian leadership.
