In a statement for an independent journal "Vijesti" he said that the project of supplying Montenegro with electrical power from RS would probably be agreed on a long-term period as well. Making comments on the recent visit of the Montenegrin Prime Minister Filip Vujanovic to Banjaluka, Dodik said that the two Government's presidents had tried to define concrete relations between RS and Montenegro and expressed hope that precise agreements would be reached on the base of already established issues.BIJELJINA - The RS Prime Minister Milorad Dodik will visit Banjaluka, where he is due to speak to board members of the municipal parliament about 1,00 pm. As it was announced, the Prime Minister would hold a joint press- conference with representatives of Party of Independent Social Democrats, Democratic Party and Party of Democratic Centre at 1,30 pm. SARAJEVO - The Interior Minister of the Muslim-Croat federation and Sarajevo Canton neither confirmed nor denied the arrest of two RS citizens, Dragan Pejic and Dragan Dragic, who has been released in the meantime. The duty officer in the Sarajevo Canton's Interior Ministry, Mustafa Divjan, said that he was not authorised to make statements and referred reporters to this Ministry's spokesman Adnan Kosovac, who was absent. The arrest has been confirmed neither by representatives of IPTF and OHR. SREBRENICA - The president of the Municipal Assembly of Srebrenica will be from Coalition for Whole and Democratic B&H, vice-president will be a Radical and president of the Executive Board from Serbian Democratic Party (SDS) - the president of Serbian Radical Party of Srebrenica, Branka Maksimovic, confirmed to SRNA little before the Municipal Assembly's Inaugural Session was to be held. According to her, the municipal boards of SDS and Serbian Radicals reached an inter-party agreement on distribution of seven key positions in the municipal authority, which went to Serbian side. MAR. 24, 1998 DAYNEWS REVIEW, REPUBLIKA SRPSKABANJA LUKA - The president of Republika Srpska /RS/ Biljana Plavsic informed in Banja Luka the chief of mission of ICRC in B&H Peter Stocker about problems of refugees who live in about sixty collective accommodation centres in Srpska. In the announcement from this meeting, forwarded to SRNA from the Cabinet of the president of RS, is stated that Stocker provided assurances that ICRC will intensify the activities on improving material, economic, health and other conditions of living of refugees in collective centres.BANJA LUKA - The president of RS Biljana Plavsic talked in Banja Luka with French Ambassador to B&H Ives Gaudel. After the meeting behind the closed door, they did not gave any official statement. PODGORICA - The delegation of RS Government headed by Milorad Dodik will arrive in Podgorica on March 25, where, as announced, with prime minister of Montenegro Filip Vujanovic they will sign an agreement about mutual cooperation between two republics. On the first day of the visit to Podgorica Dodik will be received by Mr. Vujanovic, and on second day, Thursday, by president of Montenegro Milo Djukanovic. During that time the resor ministers of RS will talk with their counterparts from Montenegro Government. SARAJEVO - Dragan (Samojko) Pejic /1959/, who was arrested on March 23 by police of Federation B&H /FB&H/ on the demarcation line between federal and Serbian part of Sarajevo, is in the Regional prison in Sarajevo - confirmed for SRNA the spokesman of Cantonal ministry of Internal Affairs /MUP/ in Sarajevo Adnan Kosovac. He stated that Pejic was surrendered to the Prosecution in Sarajevo, which had sent out a wanted circular for him because, as claims Kosovac of the war crimes. The spokesman of Cantonal Mup said that he do not know the details of indictment. AMSTERDAM - The assistant for media of the spokesman of Hague Tribunal Chriastiane van Oostehaut/ rejected in the statement for SRNA the claims of Moslem police that Serbian Dragan Pejic, who was arrested in Sarajevo, is on the list of indicted for war crimes, which was made by this court. Mrs. van Oostenhaut denied the claims of the spokesman of Cantonal MUP of Sarajevo Adnan Kosovac, who stated for SRNA that Hague Tribunal confirmed that the arresting of Dragan Pejic was founded on alleged war crimes. She stressed that until the call of SRNA correspondent from Amsterdam they even did not know about this arresting. "The Hague tribunal has nothing to do with this, nor with cases of arresting Milomir Tepes, arrested in Sarajevo on March 21, and Predrag Kostic arrested in Italy on March 17. If there was indictment of the Hague Tribunal they would already be in Hague" - categorically asserts Mrs. van Oosterhaut. SARAJEVO - The spokesman of IPTF and UN Liem McDowel expressed in Sarajevo the worry because of the fact that police of Canton Sarajevo did not inform IPTF that they arrested Dragan Pejic, whom federal authorities indicted for alleged war crimes. Stressing that international police demanded the explanation from Cantonal authorities, McDOwel expressed concern, at the press conference, because of the fact that PEjic was arrested without informing IPTF. "About the arresting of Milomir Tepes we were informed 24 h of delay. We hope that Cantonal police will not hide such information from UN", stressed McDOwel. BANJA LUKA - The Party of Independent Social-Democrats of RS condemns arresting of any Serbian by federal police and insists to see evidence which can offer the federal police - stated in Banja Luka the secretary general of this party Nenad Bastinac. At the press conference he added that such behaviour of federal police lead to worsening of confidence between two entities. BANJA LUKA - The vice-president of Serbian Democratic Party /SDS/ of RS assessed as very successful the results of extraordinary Electoral assembly of SDS Banja Luka. "Out of 60 proposed delegates for new convocation of City Board of Banja Luka 35 was elected by the secret ballots. On the basis of the Statute of SDS, another 11 members of City Board were appointed, for which before this election was reached the concordance of senior organs of SDS", said Cavic at the press conference in Banja Luka. BELGRADE - The president of the Committee for war crimes prof. Zoran Stojanovic confirmed for SRNA that two members delegation of the Committee departed to Hague, where they will talk with the representatives of the Hague Tribunal about use of radio-active materials during the NATO bombing in RS. "The representatives of the Committee will check out what is the destiny of collected material about the use of missiles filled with radio active uranium in RS, which we successively forwarded to Tribunal through UN", added Stojanovic. MAR. 24, 1998 EVENINGNEWS REVIEW, REPUBLIKA SRPSKABANJA LUKA - The president of Government of Republika Srpska /RS/ Milorad Dodik stated that he expexts that during the two weeks visit to Montenegro willbe reached definite agreement on cooperation, about what he talked two weeks ago with Montenegrian premier Filip Vujanovic. "On that meeting we identified issues about which we wish to reach final agreement. It is first of all related to the issue of economic cooperation, continuation of development of the road Trebinje- Herceg-Novi and the issues about power utility, agriculture and industry" - stressed Dodik inthe statement for SRNA.SERBIAN GORAZDE - Since already four days there are no any information about Brane Gigovic, whom Moslem police had arrested on March 20 in Gorazde, the delegates of SO Serbian GOrazde required explanation from federal authorities, IPTF, SFOR and OSCE. "It would not be good if the case was additionally politicised, therefore we demand from FB&H authorities to release Gigovic immediately from the central prison in Sarajevo" - stated the delegates of municipal assembly of Serbian Gorazde. They think that Gigovic should be returned in RS, so that competent juridical organs of RS should investigate his eventual responsibility for certain unclarified events. SREBRENICA - The constitutive session of municipal assembly of Srebrenica was not held, as was announced, because Moslem delegates rejected to participate in its work. At the beginning of session, when was played the hymn "Boze pravde" /god give us justice/, the delegates from FB&H left the session and, in spite of persuasion of the deputy chief of OSCE mission to B&H Richard Elerkman, rejected to participate in its work. BELGRADE - Serbian people never founded its rights, and will never do, on denial of rights to others, but it will not permit anybody to usurp its rights, sovereignty and territorial integrity of Serbia - is stated in the Declaration about national unity adopted by the National Assembly of Republic of Serbia. According to this document, "the responsibility for realisation of vital national and state interests, as well as present times and future of Serbia, is imposing the obligation of national unity on fundamental needs of state and people". PRISTINA - The member of the ministry of Internal Affairs of Serbia Miodrag Otasevic died of wounds, which he has got in the attack of Albanian terrorists on the police patrol in Gramocelj, near Rznic, on the border between municipalities Djakovica and Decani. Otasevic died on the way to hospital in Pec, while his colleague Slobodan Jokic, lightly injured in the same attack got medical care in hospital in Pec. BONN - Yugoslav Ambassador to Bonn Zoran Jeremic stated that his state expects from international community to take clear stance about secession and terrorism on tomorrow's session of Contact Group about Kosovo problem in Bonn - reports DPA. "Belgrade clearly demonstrated readiness for dialogue with Albanians and because of that there is no need to subject FRY to the Western pressure" - stated Jeremic. BELGRADE - The Association of authors of Serbia announced in Belgrade that it supports the Initiative of students of University in Pristina in which is rejected the Agreement on education in Kosovo. "The Association supports the Initiative of students, Declaration of Church and people Congregation in Kosovo and Demand of Serbian authors from the old Serbia, striving for the same level of autonomy of Serbian Albanians., which will simultaneously be proclaimed for Serbs in Croatia, Albania, FYRM or Hungary", is said in the announcement. MOSCOW - The official Moscow assesses that elections held two days ago in Kosovo were not legal - stated the representative of the ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia Genadiy Tarasov at the press conference. According to him, regardless the illegality of elections and the fact that there was not permission for its holding, the authorities restrained from intervention. He supported the signing document on education system in Kosovo and expressed the expectations that the positive steps of FR Yugoslavia and Serbia will be well accepted in international community, stressing the necessity of dialogue in order to solve the problem in the peaceful way and in the framework of Serbia. MAR. 24, 1998 EVENINGNEWS REVIEW, REPUBLIKA SRPSKABANJA LUKA - The president of Republika Srpska /RS/ Biljana Plavsic sent a protest to the Office of High International Representative Carlos Westendorp because police of federation B&H /FB&H/ is flagrantly violating Dayton Agreement. Mrs. Plavsic is recalling in the letter that in last moth are frequent illegal arresting of Serbs under indictment for alleged war crimes. "Cited illegal actions of FB&H police caused public unrest in RS and founded fear for freedom of movement, by what was violated Annex 7 of Dayton Agreement" - warned Mrs. Plavsic and added that "police of FB&H by kidnapping Goran Vasic violated also Annex 11, which forbids carrying long barrel arms, especially on the territory which is not under their competence".SARAJEVO - The president in Presidency of B&H from RS Momcilo Krajisnik proposed that National assembly take stance about the proposal of chief of the OSCE mission Robert Barry that this organisation take full supervision of elections in September. "When so important issues are in question, the decision must be made collectively, and not by any individual" - explained Krajisnik who received in Pale Mr. Barry and his special envoy Vladimir Kuznietsov. Expressing a big concern because of frequent cases of arresting and disappearing Serbs, who exercised their right on freedom of movement, Krajisnik asked from Mr. Barry to use his influence and help in solving these problems. BIJELJINA - Premier of RS Milorad Dodik expressed in Bijeljina, at the third regular session of Municipal Assembly, the contentment because of election of legal and legitimate Executive board of municipal Assembly /IO SO/ by which was avoided the arbitrage decision. "I am ready in next few days together with representatives of IO SO Bijeljina and all political factors in this city at the joint meeting with majority of ministers of Government of RS to consider problems which are present in Bijeljina and find possibilities for their solving" - stressed Dodik. He announced that on the next session of Government he will propose the changes in law by which the resources which belong to the municipality automatically remain in it, as well as the law by which the two percentage of excises for crude oil, coffee, alcohol and cigarettes made in this municipality remain in this municipality. BIJELJINA - The president of RS Government Milorad Dodik stressed in Bijeljina, in talks with economic representatives from Bijeljina, Ugljevik, Zvornik and Brcko that Government will make its efforts on easier coming out of economists from RS on the international market. The premier stressed that the Government will insist on including RS into International Monetary Fund /IMF/ and on its preserving. Dodik talked in Bijeljina with leaders of the company "Bobar" about efforts of Government for opened market, equal development of all spheres of production and social life, normalisation of life in whole Republika Srpska. BANJA LUKA - The U.S. agency for international development USAID announced for tomorrow in Banja Luka signing of new credit arrangements for RS - was announced today from the USAID Office in Sarajevo. In question is the credit of six million DEM, by which realisation would be employed new 329 workers, and by this credit total allocated funds for RS from USAID will amount 15,5 million DEM or 9,1 million $US. BELGRADE - At the official invitation of Foreign Minister of FR Yugoslavia Zivadin Jovanovic, the Foreign Minister of Poland and presiding of OSCE Bronislav Geremik will visit FR Yugoslavia /FRY/ on Friday March 27. As announced by the Federal Ministry of Foreign affairs, Geremik is coming to Belgrade because of normalisation of relations and cooperation between OSCE and Yugoslavia and improving bilateral relations between Poland and FRY". PODGORICA - The president of Montenegro Milo DJukanovic scheduled for May 31 the early parliamentary elections. Participating in the central informational programming of TV CG, Djukanovic, surprising publicity and journalists by early discovering the decision, announced for tomorrow, stressed that conditions are created for holding early parliamentary elections in Montenegro. PRISTINA - On the road Pec - Pristina near the village Kievo in municipality Klina Albanian terrorists attacked by machine guns police check-point, but fortunately there were no victims. As SRNA reporter from the site reports, police started to pursuit the assailants. BELGRADE - The premier of Serbia Mirko Marjanovic said that Government will use all legitimate measures to stamp out all attempts of separatism and terrorism in Kosovo and Metohija. "All attempts of separatism, secessionism and terrorism the Government will stamp out by legitimate means, like all states in the world are doing when faced with this evil" - stressed Marjanovic talking before the delegates of Republican Assembly. BELGRADE - The president of Government of Serbia Ratko Markovic assessed in the statement for SRNA that signed Agreement about schools in Kosovo and Metohija "coming out towards the real situation". MArkovic thinks that by the additional agreement "should be solved issues of programme, financing and diplomas". "These are the essential issues, and from our stance comes out that the citizens of this country must have education and have a right to have the education in the national language" - explained Markovic. BELGRADE - The youth of political parties and student organisations of Serbia have passed the Declaration on Kosovo assessing that "general democratisation of society is the prerequisite for long-term solution of Kosovo problem". On the yesterday's tribune "Kosovo yesterday - today - tomorrow", organised by Serbian Democratic Party for Serbia, was precisely said that Kosovo problem must be solved exclusively in the peaceful way. From the tribune was sent a call to the current authorities "in the shortest term and in accordance with the highest European standards to organise and implement serious Serbian-Serbian and Serbian-Albanian dialogue". BIJELJINA - The representatives of Democratic Party /DS/ of RS, Party of independent social-democrats /SNSD/ and Party of democratic centre /SDC/ signed in Bijeljina the Statement about planning joint participation on the September's elections in RS. The participants of talks, president of SNSD Milorad Dodik, president of DS Dragomir Dumic and president of SDC Dragomir Grubac stressed the importance of next elections for started process of democratic changes in RS - is said in the public statement of DS given after the meeting. DOBOJ - The former war prisoners from Moslem prisons in Tuzla, Zenica, Odzak and other towns formed in DOboj the Association sending the appeal for releasing all remaining prisoners.
