BANJALUKA - The president and members of the Government of Republika Srpska (RS) took a solemn oath at the Third Session of the National Assembly (NS) in Banjaluka without the presence of representatives of Serbian Democratic Party (SDS). The solemn oath took also the Secretary General of NS and his deputy, and Dusan Vukovic from SDS and Krstan Simic from Party of Independent Socialdemocrats (SNSD), whose mandate was verified NSRS in the framework of the second item on an agenda on the proposal of the Mandatory-Immunity Commission. Vukovic and Simic were elected for representatives of NSRS after resignations from those duties have been submitted Stojan Todorovic from SDS and Milorad Dodik from SNSD. Representatives of NSRS adopted also a proposal for change of RS Constitution.

BANJALUKA - RS Prime Minister Milorad Dodik congratulated at the Third Session of NSRS members of the Government on their taking of the solemn oath, expressing hope that they would do everything in order to prove to be working in the interest of the state and people. Speaking to national representatives Dodik emphasised that the Government, besides support of the people, political parties, associations and institutions, have obtained also support of the international community and added that the support was not only verbal, but was "reflecting in concrete help" in those days. "This Government will be barrier to disturbing of interests which we have won by the Dayton Agreement" - emphasised Dodik.

BANJALUKA - NSRS with majority votes passed at the Third Session in Banjaluka the Law on Change of the Law on Government, by which it is anticipated that the Government Headquarters would be in Banjaluka. For this Law voted 55 representatives and 21 were against and one abstained from voting. The voting was proceeded by a discussion in which different opinions were heard. The president of Legislative-Legal Commission of NS Mirko Sarovic submitted a report in which it is said that the Commission with majority of votes established that "the mentioned Proposal is not in accordance with Constitution and law system in RS".

BANJALUKA - In the continuation of the Third Session of NSRS representatives with 43 for and 36 against have adopted a Law on Revoking of 33 laws which had been passes by the Assembly in previous convocation after the decision of RS president on its dismissal. Representatives have adopted a proposal of Petar Djokic from Socialist Party of RS that the new Government should discuss the mentioned laws, use from it the positive and progressive things, and to discuss it at the next session of NSRS.

BANJALUKA - The president of RS Government Milorad Dodik stated during the intermission of the session of the Republican Parliament that RS was expecting better days and promised that " the new Government will work day and night to secure that". In the intermission of the Third Session of the Assembly in Banjaluka Dodik announced that on February 18 he would go to Washington, where new credit agreements with the World's Bank in amount of 17 millions of DM for help to RS agriculture would be reached. " At latest in 60 days we are expecting the deposit of 100 millions of US dollars in RS, both donations and credits. It should be enough for rise which would secure prosperity of the Republic" - said the president of the Government.

BANJALUKA - RS Government announced that soon it would carry out reconstruction of Serbian Radio-Television (SRT), " in accordance with demands of the International Community High Representative and in cooperation with newly appointed International Supervisor". In an announcement delivered to SRNA from the Cabinet of RS Prime Minister it is assessed that in that way SRT will be enabled " to develop into a professional, independent and responsible network, open for everybody". In the text it is said that soon would follow appointment of a new General Director of this media and is expressed " regret for everything that happened in connection with SRT in the past".

BANJALUKA - The presiding officer of SDS Presidency Aleksa Buha confirmed in Banjaluka that SDS and Serbian Radical Party (SRS) had to join the opposition in NSRS, because they have lost majority in the Assembly and seat in the Government on account of disregarding of election results. " The task of the opposition is to watchfully observe what majority in the Assembly and especially the Government are doing" - said Buha in the intermission of the Third Session of Republican Parliament and warned that SDS and Serbian Radicals would contest legitimacy and legality of the new RS Government at the first opportunity. "As far as legitimacy of this Government is concerned we are still contesting it, because we think that it has been elected on the base of votes of representatives from B&H Federation, whose representative mandates are disputed from our point of view" - said the presiding of SDS Presidency.

BANJALUKA - The Deputy International Community High Representative for B&H Hans Schumacher stated in Banjaluka, in the intermission of the Third Session of NSRS, that the new Government wanted to preserve unity of RS and that it has not been imposed by the international community. " The president of the Government Milorad Dodik and members of his Cabinet should be given a chance to do what they intend to and it would be better for the people in RS ", said Schumacher, assessing that progress has already been made, not only in financial help but also in political trust which the Government has in the world.

SARAJEVO - Headquarters of SFOR stated that "several SFOR helicopters flew over Pale", explaining that "routes of their flights were determined by many factors, including tasks and weather conditions". In the announcement forwarded to SRNA is said that "weather conditions were in many parts of B&H erratic" and explains that "the weather was at times poor around Pale, and worse in many other routs". They are emphasising that flights of their helicopters over Pale have "no special significance".
