DEC. 31, 1997 EVENING
NEWS REVIEW, REPUBLIKA SRPSKA
BANJA LUKA - The president in Presidency of B&H from Republika Srpska /RS/
Momcilo Krajisnik assessed that in 1997 existed the real danger that part
of the sovereignty of RS be seriously endangered. In an interview for New
Year's issue of the BAnja Luka daily "Glas Srpski"/The Serbian Voice/
Krajisnik warned that "in 'international heads' exist the plan in three
parts for division of RS". Stressing that something like that must not be
allowed, he presented the categoric stance that "the last stone in Ribnik
or Serbian Kostajnica must be equally important as the one in Srbinje,
Trebinje, Rogatica, Samac or anywhere else in RS".
SARAJEVO - ICRC since the signing of Dayton Agreement was engaged on
providing aid to the persons endangered by the consequences of the
transitional period in B&H and local institutions responsible for
satisfying needs of population, is stressed in the Special Report about
acting of ICRC two years after coming onto force the Dayton Agreement. This
humanitarian organisation since April 1997 mediated in releasing 1,100
prisoners of war which former warred factions held in prisons.
