ZVORNIK - On May 12, a patrol of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Republika Srpska was attacked in the Muslim village of Jusici, near Zvornik. Two policemen were injured and their car stoned by Mumin Islamovic, says a report issued by the Zvornik Police Station. 'Before the patrol arrested Islamovic they informed the IPTF of the Court's order because he failed to turn up twice when he was summoned to the court, says the report. 'The police is to do their job, while the IPTF representatives are to oversee the police's work, replied IPTF.

HAMBURG - Western media are closing their eyes before the repression conducted by the Muslim authorities in the Muslimcontrolled parts of the Federation of B&H, writes the German 'Welt', commenting on the Muslim police's decision on seizing the latest edition of the satirical magazine 'Polikita'. The Welt concludes that the 'Polikita' was banned, after the text titled 'Alija Equal Tito', accompanied by a series of photographs transforming gradually the figure of Muslim leader Alija Izetbegovic into communist dictator Yosip Broz Tito, was published.

AMSTERDAM - The NATO has done its task in the implementation of the military part of the Dayton Agreement so well that it succeeded in dividing physically the B&H territory, believes the International Crisis Group. The Crisis Group's report indicates that the civilian part of the Dayton Agreement called for the erasing of the inter-entity boundary line and reminds us that the international community started the implementation of the Dayton Peace Accord with divided interests.

CLEVELAND - Out of the fear of retaliation by the local population, the NATO commanders rejected a proposal on the forming of special paramilitary units which are to arrest suspected war criminals, assesses the Washington Post. According to the paper, out of the same reasons the Pentagon had dismissed earlier the US Ministry of Foreign Affairs' proposal on creating of special US units which were to have the same task.

MOSCOW - The Russian president Boris Yeltsin is to participate at a Group 7 Summit scheduled to take place in Denver during the second half of June, stated Yeltsin's under-secretary, Sergey Yastrzembskiy. He pointed that once Russia is included in the Club of the most developed states at the Denver Summit, the Group 7 will become a Group 8.
