BANJALUKA - On the occasion of May 27, the Day of the Airforce and Antiaircraft Defence of the Army of Republika Srpska (VRS), the RS president and commander-in-chief of its armed forces, Biljana Plavsic, sent greetings to the soldiers and officers. The president gave all the members of the Airforce and Antiaircraft Defence credit for their enormous contribution in the war and fight of the Serbian people for freedom. BANJALUKA - The secretary-general of the Serbian Radical Party of RS, Miodrag Rakic, warned in Banjaluka that the IPTF 'exceeds the scope and authorisations stemming from the Dayton agreement, trying to perform the so- called testing of the RS police officers'. Rakic called the RS authorities 'not to accept and allow at any cost the offered police reorganisation which should start in Brcko and Banjaluka'. 'Such endeavours are not only in the opposition to the RS laws, but are blatantly violating the provisions of the Dayton agreement, with a view to disturbing of the existing degree of RS sovereignty which is guaranteed by the Peace agreement', said Rakic. ZVORNIK - If the SFOR US contingent succeed in their intention to open a market in the village of Memici in the Federation of B&H - which borders with the Municipality of Osmaci in RS - at the beginning of June, then the safety of the citizens in this part of RS will be jeopardised, assess officials of the Zvornik Police Station, explaining that 'this would then lead to the uncontrolled movement of a great number of citizens just along the inter-entity boundary line, especially, from the Muslim side'. TESLIC - Anti-Serb paroles saying: 'We are coming in September', 'Chetniks get out of B&H', 'the Serb women to be seen in harems', 'the Serbs to hang on willows' and similar paroles with clear fundamentalistic messages, emerged on the outer walls of some public buildings such as Clinic, Police, Municipal Assembly of Teslic and other public institutions.
