BRCKO - The arrival of Muslims from the Federation of B&H in Brcko and misuse of Bill Farrand's hospitality for the political propaganda of a party and the Muslim authorities could not be called freedom of movement even in the other areas, assessed the president of the Municipal Board of the Serbian Democratic Party (SDS), Simo Kojic. He pointed out that 'Muslim behaviour showed during yesterday's visit, which was organised by the Social Democratic Party of B&H, favours not in any case reconciliation and the implementation of the Dayton agreement in these areas".

ZVORNIK - Muslims from the Prodrinjsko-tuzlanski canton announced that they intend to visit cemeteries in the Municipality of Zvornik on May 9, 11 and 13. They also planned to pay a visit to Klis, Krizevici and Setici, confirmed the Zvornik Police Station. Noticing that the places which the Muslims want to visit represent the important military quotas in the Municipality of Zvornik and coincide with the Muslim military aims, the representatives of the international organisations in Zvornik assessed that 'the most probably a classical trial and the testing of Serb reactions are dealt here with'.

BANJALUKA - The trial against Alija Izetbegovic, who is charged with serious war crimes, ethnic cleansing and mistreatment of the Serb soldiers and civilians imprisoned, was continued by the hearing of three witnesses before the Grand Jury of the Court in Banjaluka. First of the witnesses, Dragan Lazarevic, presented the most shocking facts. He found himself in a column of the former Yugoslavian National Army which on May 15 left Tuzla heading to Ugljevik.

NEW YORK - The High Representative of the international community, Carl Bildt, proposed to the Americans that a part of their troops stationed in Germany be transferred to the Balkans. While speaking about the situation in Republika Srpska and the Federation of B&H and the implementation of the Dayton agreement, Bildt pointed out at the press conference in Washington that the US Secretary of Defence, William Kohen has 'a little bit naive' view of the state of affairs in the B&H. Namely, Bilt has submitted a report to the Security Council on the progressing of the implementation of the Dayton agreement. After he criticised some of the US attitudes, Bildt suggested to Washington to re-form troops assigned to Europe.

ZURICH - The Swedish daily 'Neues Zuricher Zeitung' concludes that a great number of refugees from RS and the FB&H are trying at every possible way to prolong their stay in Switzerland and escape on purpose their obligation to return to B&H. As the paper writes, out of the 8,000 elderly and married couples without children - whose final deadline for the return expired on April 30 - only 3,000 used their right on a Swiss governmentoffered financial aid during their return.

BERLIN - The international community does not want to invest money in RS and the FB&H because of 'unresolved political problems', maintains the Suddeutsche Zeitung, explaining that the Serbs, Croats and Muslims 'have not been able for several months to reach an agreement on the basic laws needed for the functioning of the state'. The donors'conference, which was scheduled for the end of May, is postponed again, reminds us the paper, adding that all of the states that are financially helping the reconstruction of B&H should participate at the conference.
