SARAJEVO - The president in the Presidency of the Dayton B&H, Momcilo
Krajisnik, wished the Serbian people a Happy Orthodox New Year. SRNA
relates the president Krajisnik's congratulation in its entirety.
SARAJEVO - The 2nd working session of the Council of Ministers of the
Dayton B&H, was held in the National Museum in Sarajevo, at which an
operating procedure of this body and the conclusions of the Forum on the
economic reconstruction of Republika Srpska (RS) and the Federation of B&H
were discussed. The session which was presided over by Boro Bosic was also
attended by the World Bank's director, Rory O'Sullivan and the chief of the
mission of the International Monetary Fund, Scott Brown, with whom the
obligations which both entities should meet before the next Donors'
Conference in Brussels were discussed.
STUTTGART - Upon the invitation of the Association of Serbian Clubs in
Germany, the delegation of Republika Srpska (RS) which has already been in
Germany for two days, this evening will attend the celebration of an
Orthodox New Year in the city. The chief of this delegation, Ljubomir
Zukovic, stated today for SRNA that on 11 January the members of the
delegation attended the celebration organised on the occasion of the Day of
Republika Srpska and its Patron St. Archdeacon Stephen in Stuttgart.
BELGRADE - At 9:00 hrs, on January 14, His Holiness Patriarch of the Serbs,
Pavle, will serve a holy liturgy in the Shroud of the Most Holy Theotokos
Church in Belgrade, it was announced in the Patriarchate. The liturgy will
be served on the occasion of St. Basil the Great.
SARAJEVO - SFOR spokesman Tony Wight stated in Lukavica that SFOR is
familiar with the first portion of the talks about the arbitration over
Brcko, which are held in Rome, and that he is concerned because of the
verbal rhetoric that is not contributing to a peaceful resolution to the
problem of the inter-entity boundary line near Brcko. At a press conference
held in Lukavica, he pointed out that the talks in Rome are of political
nature, so SFOR has no participation in it, except for offering a
logistics support to arbitrators.
