NEWS REVIEW, REPUBLIKA SRPSKA

PARIS - The member of the Dayton B-H Presidency, Momcilo Krajisnik, while addressing to participants of the Paris Conference, thanked to the international community for brining an end to war, and warned of the importance of an equal treatment and mutual respect of three peoples and two entities as a key prerequisites for establishment of a stable and long- lasting peace. President Krajisnik especially thanked to France for its efforts in the implementation of the Peace Agreement and the organisation of the Peace Conference, expressing his expectations that France will also recognise the fact that the Dayton B-H equally belong to the Muslims, Croats and Serbs. "Freedom and comfort of the three peoples is key to peace, and if we consider this magic word 'equality' which has not been the case thus far both in political or economic aspects, the Dayton B-H has the brighter future", concluded president Krajisnik.

PARIS - In his speech at the Paris Conference, the chair of the Dayton B-H Presidency, Alija Izetbegovic, stated that the coexistence between peoples in the Dayton B-H is not possible without the cooperation with the Hague Tribunal. After Izetbegovic, the Croat member of the Dayton B-H Presidency, Kresimir Zubak, also addressed to participants, underlining the differences in the implementation of the peace process reflected in proposals for arrangement and structure of Council of Ministers.

SARAJEVO - Deputy head of general Staff of the Army of Republika Srpska (VRS), Vinko Pandurevic talked in Pale with IFOR liaison officer Michael Charlton Vindy about military aspects of the implementation of Dayton agreement. In his brief statement given after the meeting, Pandurevic said that the previous work of the joint commissions was reviewed and a continued cooperation in working on all issues related to military part of the Dayton peaceaccord agreed to.

BANJALUKA - The VRS First Corps commander, Lt-general Momir Talic, stated in Banjaluka that there are no parallel decisionmaking processes in the VRS, pointing out that concerns over the changes in the VRS leadership are not justifable.

SARAJEVO - The IFOR spokesman, Brett Bourdout stated in Lukavica that the Muslim soldiers are directly involved in the incident in Gajevi, and that they instigated the forcible settling of this area in RS. Bourdout stated at a press conference that the Muslim army was actively involved in Muslim incursions into Gajevi.

BANJALUKA - IFOR South-West Sector commander, British general John Clisley talked in Banjaluka with commanders of VRS, Croatian Defence Council and Muslim army on the implementation of the military aspects of the Dayton agreement, Following one-hour meeting, general Clisley stated that he is satisfied with the cooperation with military commanders of all three parties in the Sector South-West.
