NEWS REVIEW, REPUBLIKA SRPSKA

SARAJEVO - The Serb representative in the three-member Presidency of the Dayton B-H, Momcilo Krajisnik, said Serbs were ready to work in the joint institutions, and that representatives of other two peoples would have kept that in mind if the Dayton B-H Presidency was wanted to start functioning as soon as possible. After his meeting with a representative of the British Foreign Office, Nicholas Bonsor in Serb Sarajevo. In his statement for Serb Radio Krajisnik pointed out that the Serbs were ready to call on its representatives in the House of Representatives of the Dayton B-H to sign up the solemn statement by which the constituting of the joint would start.

SARAJEVO - The RS minister for refugees and displaced persons, Ljubisa Vladusic, said he was dissatisfied with the work of SRSA Swede humanitarian organisation in Brcko, which permitted settling of the Stanica Rijeka without RS authorities' consent. In his communique, Vladusic accused the SRSA Brcko Office, which is in charge of reconstruction of medical facilities and school buildings, of breaching its agreements with the Ministry.

SARAJEVO - The RS minister for refugees and displaced persons, Ljubisa Vladusic, denied claims of UNHCR spokesman in Tuzla that the resettling o the bordering areas in RS by former residents is a part of the programme endorsed by the RS Government, UNHCR and Swede humanitarian organisation SRSA. By a tripartite agreement with UNHCR and SRSA, the RS Government allowed the Swede humanitarian organisation to reconstruct school buildings, clinics and homes for returnees, but under a previously determined procedure", stated vladusic.

SARAJEVO - The implementation of the refugees accommodation project, the reconstruction of infrastructure and investments in agriculture, agreed to a month ago, were the discussed by RS minister for refugees and displaced persons, Ljubisa Vladusic, and representatives of the Humanitarian Department of the Italian Embassy in Belgrade. "The programmes are prepared, but their implementation is late due to a delay in funds providing from Rome", stated Vladusic, after the meeting.

LONDON - The UN high representative for civilian affairs in the Dayton B-H, Carl Bildt, stated in London that "the peacekeeping forces must stay in the Dayton B-H in 1997 and 1998, in order to give the country a chance to recover". "The mission of these forces should guarantee prevention of military actions, and should provide conditions necessary for a political reconciliation, reintegration and reconstruction", stated Bildt to EU inisters.

SARAJEVO - Voters in RS and the Federation of B-H will vote at 2,500 polling places in stead of 4,400, announced OSCE. According to OSCE spokesman, David Foley, voters, who are listed for the elections in September 14, could solve the problem probably between 11 and 16 of November, of which the Provisional Electoral Commission will decide at today's session in Sarajevo. The PEC is expected to make several changes of Rules and Regulations in effect during the general elections.

SARAJEVO - A multinational team, comprised of 44 monitors from 11 countries - Belgium, Bulgaria, Canada, Denmark, France, Germany, Ireland, Spain, Sweden, Great Britain and USA - responsible for the coordination of observers'' work at the municipal elections in RS and the Federation of B-H, arrived to Sarajevo on October 8 and will stay to December 11, stated OSCE spokesman David Foley.

ZVORNIK - General John Casey, chief of staff of the IFOR ground troops, gave a special credit to the RS Government and Ministry of Internal Affairs, as well as the Serbian people, which, during the increased tensions in the bordering villages of the Zvornik Municipality, showed a high level of understanding and patience. In his statement for SRNA, general Casey mentioned that the villages of Mahala and Jusici did not represent a threat to RS because the persons presently staying there had lived in the villages before, and they signed a statement to obey to the RS legislation.

DOBOJ - The UN high representative's envoy Seyla Beri, and IFOR and ITPF representatives, promised members of the Association of Families of Killed and Missing Soldiers and Civilians to do everything to find out the fate of their dearest ones. Their meeting took place at the IFOR Nordic-Polish Brigade base after yesterday's blockade of the Zenica-Doboj-Tuzla highway, near the bridge on the river Bosna.

BANJALUKA - The RS president Biljana Plavsic tomorrow will receive British deputy minister Nicholas Bonsor, and will receive OSCE Mission chief Robert Frowick, in the afternoon.

BANJALUKA - IFOR representatives captured seven guns two "kalashnikovs" and a large amount of ammunition in the factory of cables in Tomislavgrad, announced spokesman of the British IFOR troops, Paul Brooke, who said the arms will be destroyed.

SARAJEVO - The PEC confirmed its previous decision that the municipal elections in Mostar would not be repeated. PEC considers that the June 30 elections in Mostar as a part of the general elections.
