"Our common interest should be RS, and this goal should be achieved in a genuine civilised and democratic atmosphere", stressed Biljana Plavsic during her meeting with representatives of 16 political parties in RS to take part at the elections. BANJALUKA - The RS vicepresident Biljana Plavsic talked in Banjaluka with members of the Presidency of RS Association of Participants of the War from 1990, about the status and problems of soldiers, disabled veterans and families of fallen soldiers. Biljana Plavsic pointed out their great contribution to the crea tion and preserving of RS, mentioning that the soldiers deserve a special credit, so that their status must be solved in more effective way. VISEGRAD - September elections in RS are the national plebi scite for the maintenance of state and defence of the its citi zens and are a turn in the history of the Serbdom, stated the vicepresident of RS Government Velibor Ostojic in Visegrad. While taking part at the Second Congress of the Serbian Press Agency's correspondents, Ostojic stressed the speculations con cerning the upcoming arbitrage over Brcko are all the more frequent in the foreign media. SAN FRANCISCO - The Americans for International Justice Committee demanded the city mayor and residents of the Hague to cancel their hospitality to the International Tribunal for War Crimes in former Yugoslavia since this court "in a way it is presently organised and is functioning, undermine the historic heritage of the real court". In an open letter to the Hague mayor and residents, the Committee reminds that in this century the Hague was a centre of the World Court, known for its consistently applying of law in disputes between states. BEOGRAD - The Association for Aiding Refugees in Yugoslavia answered to over 3,000 requests for return of property, says a communique signed by the Association president Milorad Muratovic. "The requests were worked on according to criteria set by Annex 7 of the Dayton agreement and were forwarded to the high represen tative of the international community Carl Bildt, the Interna tional Commission for Refuges and the Commission for Protection of Human Rights", says the communique. MOSTAR - Judging by Croatian Radio HerzegBosnia Studio Neum, the "hard line" took the predominance at the Congress of the Croatian Democratic Union (HDZ), led by president of the House of Representatives of HerzegBosnia Ivan Bender and the HDZ president Bozo Rajic.
