SARAJEVO - The president of the National Assembly of Repub lika Srpska (RS) Momcilo Krajisnik confirmed today in Pale that the international community was offered to check the credibility of the RS leadership by way of a referendum, of which the RS Parliament would make a final decision.

Krajisnik in a statement for SRNA added: "The offer, in fact, was a response to a terrible pressure made by those, who while being declaratory of democracy, were attempting to destabi lise RS and disqualify RS state leaders, first of all president Radovan Karadzic".

BANJA LUKA - The RS vicepresident Biljana Plavsic in an interview for tomorrow's edition of "Glas srpski" stated that the Dayton agreement and its implementation were a framework of talks of the state leaders of Srpska with the Serbian president Slobo dan Milosevic at Belgrade. The vicepresident of Srpska, which was given part of authorities in accordance with the Constitu tion, precisely said that assurances were given to president Milosevic, who was interested for the coming elections, that by electing Slobodan Kovac for the representative of Serbs in the Electoral commission made all necessary conditions for its unhin dered taking place.

BELGRADE - The RS vicepresident Biljana Plavsic confirmed that Radovan Karadzic according to the Constitution is still the president of RS and that he used a constitutional right to give a part of its duties to one of the vicepresidents temporarily" said Biljana Plavsic for tomorrow's edition of Belgrade's weekly "NIN".

BRCKO - The High Representative of the international commu nity Carl Bildt stated at Brcko that arbitrage agreed in Dayton, is related to the "line of separation of entities" which, accord ing to him ,"could be moved to the benefit or to the detriment of both entities". "The arbitrage about Brcko settled up in Dayton, about midnight, Milosevic and Izetbegovic. When we had waken up and heard their proposal, we were not contented, but we said: 'they make peace, not we' ", said Bildt after the meeting with the municipal authorities in Brcko.

BIJELJINA - The High Representative Carl Bildt said in Bjeljina that at this moment there is no reason for imposing new sanctions against RS and that such act could be considered only if the most important provisions of the Dayton agreement are jeopardised. "Sanctions would mean a great step back and the catastrophe in efforts for establishing the peace" , highlighted Bildt after the meeting with the authorities of Bijeljina munici pality, and expressed the contentment with the implementation of provisions of the civilian part of Dayton agreement.

SARAJEVO - The RS vicepresident Nikola Koljevic talked in Pale today with the ambassador of OSCE in Vienna Marten Kras nai about the military stabilisation in RS and MoslemCroatian federation which was anticipated by Article 2. of Dayton Agree ment.

BANJALUKA - The spokesman of OSCE mission Thomas Milerina announced at Banjaluka that the electoral lists for parliamentary elections in all municipalities in RS will be completed until July 19. At the joint press conference with the spokesmen of IFOR, UNHCR and IPTF, Milerina added that the deadlock for the party registration is July 7, while the applying of the candi dates for ballot lists will start on June 27.

SARAJEVO - The general director of the Electroenergetic system of RS estimated the talks at Pale with the representatives of the Europian Bank and International Management Group /IMG/ as completely unsuccessful. The representatives of the Europian Bank and IMG insisted that the Ministry of Finance of B&H provide the guaranties for any aid for reconstruction of Electroenergetic system in RS, which Serbian side rejected, because such an minis try, as well as other joint organs of the joint state, doesn't exist.

BANJALUKA - The deputy High Representative of the interna tional community Michael Steiner acknowledged at Banjaluka that the Serbian people in RS has a legitimate right for referendum, adding that it nevertheless "wouldn't be desirable, if it would strengthen the positions of the opponents of the Dayton accord". At the press release, held after the meeting with the president of the Assembly of the municipality Banjaluka Predrag Radic, the catholic bishop Franjo Komarica and the vicepresident of the RS Socialistic Party Zivko Radisic, Steiner said that "in this moment most important is that by help of Dayton accord the six - months peace is established.

BANJALUKA - The president of the Assembly of the municipali ty Banjaluka talked with Michael Steiner, the deputy High Repre sentative about the implementation of the civilian part of Peace Agreement, with the special accent on the return of refugees.

SARAJEVO - The representative of the Serbian Sarajevo Mirko Sarovic and the president of The Executive Board Bosko Lemez talked at Pale with the directors of the companies from the region of the Serbian municipalities which was by Dayton given to the federation, about the possibilities of returning of facili ties at the locations from Lukavica to Sokolac.

SARAJEVO - The problem of disappeared persons we solve exclusively on the basis of the requests submitted by their families, and we gathered more than 10.000 such requests until now, of which to the work group furthered around 4 thousands - stated at the press conference at Pale the deputy chief of the ICRC delegation Lucy Sterntal.

BELGRADE - The Worker's Party of Serbia /SRS/ sent a keen protest to the German government "because insolent, threatening, provocative and notdiplomatic" statements of the German Foreign Affair's minister Klaus Kinkel.

BELGRADE - The vicepresident of the Serbian Radical Party /SRS/ Tomislav Nikolic assessed that the RS president Radovan Karadzic's decision to dismiss Rajko Kasagic, and transition of the part of authorities to the RS vicepresident Biljana Plavsic "very good moves".

SRBINJE - The chief of the bureau for civilian issues of the French brigade of IFOR in Sarajevo Gill Gambe talked in Srbinje with the representatives of this municipality about reconstruc tions of the damages caused by the NATO bombing in September last year.

VIENNA - OSCE is decisive in organising the September's elections in RS and MoslemCroatian federation, although no one of the conditions for the free and democratic elections isn't fulfilled at this moment, announced the Federation of Helsinki committees.

MOSTAR - Although the EC representatives at Mostar refused to confirm that the municipal elections in this city were post poned for the month of June, this news was announced by Kresimir Zubak, the president of the CroatianMoslem federation.

BELGRADE - His Holiness the Archbishop Pavle held the holly Liturgy in the Church of the Holly Ascending at Belgrade, on the occasion of the Salvation Day, the Christian celebration of the city of Belgrade.
