In order to achieve a zero inflation, it is necessary first of all to have further liberalization of the entire foreign trade regime, as a precondition for lowering of prices, suppression of monopolies and a better range of goods. Our prices are considerably higher than the world ones and they must take a downward trend, especially in the case of food products. Liberalization of the foreign trade regime is not only a condition for the admission in the World Trade Organization, said the Republican Minister of Trade Srdjan Nikolic, but also for a more efficient solution of problems on the domestic market. At the meeting it was emphasized that actually in this economic branch there will be the fastest change of the real ownership structure.Serbia Today, 1997-01-21 ; Politika, 1997-01-21Serbia Today Directory - Previous Article - Next Article |
