[01] EUROPEAN UNION SUPPORTS THE INVITATION BY PRESIDENT MILOSEVIC
Leaders of the European Union have supported the proposal by the President
of Serbia Slobodan Milosevic for their representatives to come to Belgrade
and inform themselves of the documentation regarding the recent local
elections. This was reported in Dublin, at the summit conference of the
European Union. The European team will be headed by the experts of the
Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe. In the diplomatic
circles of the European Union leaders summit, quoted by the Reuters news
agency, it is emphasized at the same time, that in Europe there is no
single stand and that there are great differences regarding what has been
happening in Belgrade after the recent local elections. According to these
circles, Germany is supporting the opposition, but France and some other EU
member countries are in favor of a more moderate and "a more careful
attitude".

[02] NEW 'STORM' ON THE REPUBLIC OF SRPSKA?
Two days ago another two ships have arrived into the Croat port of Ploce
with the armament for the Army of the Federation of Bosnia- Herzegovina
coming from Egypt and the United Arab Emirates, which is bringing to a
close the realization of the program "Supply and Train". The latest edition
of the "Hrvatska rijec" ("Croat Word") newspaper reveals that the Muslims,
without the knowledge of their federal partners, were supplied by a large
quantity of arms also from Turkey, Malaysia, Estonia, and that these days
yet another ship is expected with some hundred of combat vehicles for the
Muslims. The Croat side is claiming that this armament, except for the
recent contingent from the United States, is arriving directly to the
Muslims, without the knowledge of their federal partners. On the other
hand, the Muslims are concluding that there are some behind-the-scenes
anti-Muslim games between Croats and Americans on the basis of the fact
that from the American contingent they have received only the tanks, but
without the ammunition, which, as was later determined, was sent directly
to the Croats. Be as it may, the armament is increasingly reaching both the
Muslims and the Croats and it is not difficult to guess against whom it
could be used. Maybe even as early as this spring, when the Muslims are
announcing their own "Storm" on the Republic of Srpska?

[03] SIGNATURES UNDER PRESSURES
President of the Muslim-Croat Federation in Bosnia-Herzegovina Kresimir
Zubak and the Vice President of the Federation Ejup Ganic, have signed in
Sarajevo under the American pressure, the statement on establishment of the
federal institutions until December 18, 1996. This is the latest in a
number of promises by the federal partners, on the establishment of their
joint bodies, which was this time agreed upon in the presence of the
special American envoy for former Yugoslavia, John Cornblum. According to
the given promises, the partners should, three months after the elections,
form the Government of the Federation and elect its President and Vice
President. Sarajevo independent media are warning the partners in the
Muslim-Croat Federation that in the Republic of Srpska constituting of the
government bodies has already been completed and that the Federation has
become the problem for the reintegration of Bosnia-Herzegovina. "Serbs can
ask Croats and Muslims why are they fighting so hard to create a unique
Bosnia-Herzegovina, when even in their own Federation they can not live
together", writes the commentator of "Oslobodjenje" daily.

[04] JASENOVAC MUST HAVE INTERNATIONAL PROTECTION
The ill-famed Ustashi death camp of Jasenovac, in which during the World
War Two there was the highest rate of mass assassination of Serbs, must be
placed under the international protection, stated the Director of the
Belgrade Museum of the Victims of Genocide, Dr. Milan Bulajic. While
speaking on the occasion of the international conference on the holocaust,
which will be held by end December this year in Jerusalem, and which he
will attend, Bulajic stated that this will be an occasion for the first
time at the international level to tell the real truth about
Jasenovac. Further to the proposal on the international protection of the
Jasenovac memorial complex, which the Yugoslav Government had submitted
even last year to the UNESCO, we will demand the foundation of a mixed
commission, within the United Nations, which will work on establishing of
the real number of victims of the Ustashi genocide, "which would put an end
to the terrible bargaining about the number of Jasenovac victims, which in
itself alone is a terrible crime", stated Bulajic.

[05] NEW PENETRATION INTO THE WORLD
Participation of the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia in all the activities
of the World Organization for Intellectual Property (WIPO) was the main
topic of the two-day talks between the group of experts of the Federal
Institute for Intellectual Property and the representatives of this
international organization, held in Geneva. During the talks regarding
joining of the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia to the Agreement on
Cooperation in the Field of Patents, director of the Federal Institute for
Intellectual Property Blagota Zarkovic and the director general of the WIPO
Arpad Boksh took part. It was agreed, among other things, that the world
data bank on all the technical and scientific achievements acquired over
the last thirty years be placed at the disposal of Yugoslavia. Yugoslavia
will be able, by joining the Agreement on Cooperation in the Field of
Patents, without any limitations, to apply in its own industry the most
modern world technical achievements.

[06] REALISTIC APPROACH TO THE MASS RETURN OF REFUGEES
The Yugoslav delegation has arrived in Geneva which will today in the
Palace of Nations, take part at the international conference of the Work
Group for Humanitarian Affairs of the Council for Implementation of
Peace. Our delegation is headed by the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs
Nikola Sainovic and the Commissioner of the Republic of Serbia for Refugees
Bratislava Morina. The Yugoslav delegation will strive for a realistic
approach to the mass return of refugees, which understands the creation of
the most fundamental conditions for the return of as large a number of
refugees as possible, said Morina adding the following: "Such an approach
also means such an international humanitarian aid which will be appropriate
for the number of refugees, and it is well known that Yugoslavia in this
resect, in the accommodation and care for almost 700,000 persons is in a by
far the most difficult position in Europe". Our country has neither the
economic nor the social possibilities for accepting a longer stay of a
large number of refugees, said Commissioner Morina.
