Of special importance is also the mutually expressed interest for extending economic cooperation. It was underlined that Ukraine is in perspective one of the most important economic partners of Yugoslavia because of many comparative advantages. Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Ukraine Genady Udovenko was also received by the Prime Minister of the Republic of Serbia Mirko Marjanovic. It was jointly stated that in the circumstances after the suspension of sanctions it is realistic to expect an annual scope of overall economic exchange between the two countries at the level of 1.5 to 2 billion US dollars. (Politika, January 26, 1996) [02] 200,000 MOBILE TELEPHONES IN THE NETWORK"BK Trade" from Moscow and the Swedish "Ericson" have signed yesterday in Belgrade the agreement on delivery of equipment for introduction of a digital mobile telephone network in GMS technology, in the Republic of Serbia. The capacity of this network is 200,000 connections, and the value of the project is 420 million DEM. This is at present one of the largest foreign investments in the country.Delegation of "Ericson" company was received yesterday by the Prime Minister of Serbia Mirko Marjanovic. Guests have informed the Prime Minister about the successful realization of the project of mobile telephone network in the Republic. (Vecernje novosti, January 26, 1996) [03] SUSANA AGNELLI HAS TALKS WITH HEADS OF DIPLOMACIES OF YUGOSLAVIA, CROATIA AND BOSNIA-HERZEGOVINAHead of the Italian diplomacy Susana Agnelli had telephone talks with the ministers of foreign affairs of the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia, Croatia and the government of the Bosnian Muslims: Milan Milutinovic, Mate Granic and Mohamed Sacirbay. These contacts, it is reported, are within the action of Italy as the chairman of the European Union for the implementation of the peace agreement. In the focus of attention of these talks were Mostar, Srem and Baranja Region, exchange of prisoners in Bosnia, amnesty of Serbian civilians, especially in Sarajevo, and the problem of missing persons in Srebrenica.Ministers Milutinovic and Granic had a constructive attitude towards the question of Srem and Baranja Region, states the report of the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and adds that both ministers have asked for the UN peace forces to be sent to this region as soon as possible, as foreseen by the Security Council resolution. While addressing the Foreign Affairs Commission of the European Parliament yesterday evening in Brussels, Agnelli emphasized that the calming down and political and economic reconstruction of former Yugoslavia will be "an absolute priority" of European Union during the Italian chairmanship, which expires in June. (Politika ekspres, January 26, 1996) [04] ALL MUST BE UNCONDITIONALLY RELEASEDExpert commissions of the governments of the FR of Yugoslavia and the Republic of Croatia for humanitarian questions and missing persons have met yesterday for the fourth time after signing of the Dayton Peace Agreement.On this occasion president of the commission of the Yugoslav Government Dr. Pavle Todorovic stated for the press: "Today we are no longer speaking of the prisoners, because the war is over and all, according to the Dayton Agreement, must be unconditionally released. The question of missing persons is the basic problem between Croatia and Yugoslavia". According to him the Yugoslav side is insisting on the data on the missing soldiers from Donja Koliba, and 'Savnik" and 'Niksic' group. (Borba, January 26, 1996) [05] EVIDENCE ON KILLING OF CIVILIANSCharge d'affaires of the permanent mission of the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia at the UN in Geneva, Miroslav Milosevic, has submitted today to the international organizations the sixth report of the Federal Government about drastic violations of the international war and humanitarian law in certain territories of former Yugoslavia. The report will be included in the official document for the forthcoming 52nd session of the UN Commission for Human Rights, to be held in March this year.The sixth report contains 178 cases of drastic violation of war and humanitarian law. From this number, 40 cases pertain to killing of civilians, 20 to killing of prisoners of war, 18 to inhuman treatment of civilians, 56 to inhuman treatment of prisoners of war and other detained persons, 10 to killing of wounded and sick persons, and so on - up to 20 cases of mass ethnic cleansing. In a separate part of the report cases of war crimes committed during the two Croat offensives have been specially treated and supported with evidence, perpetrated in May and August last year, during attacks on Western Slavonia and the Republic of Serbian Krajina. They were the attacks on the convoys of Serbian refugees, mostly aged persons, women and children. Croats were killing innocent civilians, attacking convoys of refugees and at the same time were destroying everything on their way. The UN Security Council and Center for Human Rights in Geneva have on several occasions very seriously warned and accused Croatia of drastic violation of human rights in Serbian Krajina. However, that was all that they have done, at least till now. (Vecernje novosti, January 26, 1996) [06] GAME ABOUT SEPARATION"Security Council, it is well known, has postponed suspension of sanctions on Bosnian Serbs, although the NATO Secretary General in his report has confirmed their withdrawal from the exclusion zone within the deadline of 30 days, as foreseen by the Dayton Agreement. Although the representatives of the Russian Federation were stating that the Serbian side has fulfilled all the conditions, the others, headed by British, were requesting 'further interpretations' on what is considered to be the exclusion zone - whether it is the question of the cease-fire lines or of the borders between the two entities, since they do not coincide".This was stated yesterday at the press conference by Susan Manuel, the spokesperson of the UN Belgrade office, in an attempt to explain the developments at the Security Council session which have resulted in the postponement of suspension of sanctions on Bosnian Serbs. Manuel agreed with the view that this is purely a political manoeuvre, quoting the statement by the Russian diplomate: "The pieces on the chess-board were moved in such a way as to complicate the situation...".
