While in Craiova to attend the meeting of the National Council of the Christian Democrat National Peasant Students on Sunday, the vicepresidents of the Christian Democrat National Peasant Party (PNTCD), Victor Ciorbea and Ulm Spineanu, told a press conference there was no internal crisis in the party. Naturally, there are different opinions and other points of view, but such opinions are subNect to democratic debates, the two vicepresidents insisted. Ulm Spineanu has informed that he presented the prime minister with a scheme recommending the setting up of a development ministry and a national council for macrostructural balance. He said the Privatisation Ministry was useless and unnatural. Referring to the same issue, Victor Ciorbea said the dealine for achieving the governing programme expired on September 1, but the Democratic Party (PD) believed it was not a priority or, in his opinion, the PD attitude was a source of tension during the negotiations to pass well-known draft laws. Major newspapers such as the "Nepszabadsag" daily are publishing pictures of warm shakehands along with comments on issues concerning the bilateral relations as the two foreign ministers have both expressed their commitment to further encourage such relations which many Western states applauded as an example to follow.
