[01] Talks concerning government programme
At Victoria Palace short government programme was finished off. It was
structured on two stages: a short pogramme for this year with precise
objectives and terms and another one aiming at horizon of 2000. Speaking
about a sensible point namely retrocession of confiscated properties this
matter is to be subject of some separate agreements at a politic level.
Premier designate Radu Vasile has communicated short programme was finished
off and long programme is about finished off in other words dimension of
macrostructure, macrostability till 2000. Radu Stroe government general
secretary designate has declared the two documents represent concrete steps

[02] Dinu Gavrilescu was nominated for position of agriculture minister
Premier designate Radu Vasile has announced he retreated nominating of
Alexandru Bogdan for position of agriculture and food minister in his place
being nominated Dinu Gavrilescu. Mr.Gavrilescu has explained he was not
nominated from the beginning because Alexandru Bogdan nomination was done
suggested by a forum of PNTCD. He has also declared he continues to agree
Prime-Minister's intention to improve progrfamme for agriculture. Referring
to premier designate's intention to check up ASAL programme Dinu Gavrilescu
said programme "in this moment has to be checked up because there are some
conditions which can not be fulfiled especially in privatization rhythm".

[03] Meeting of trade-unionists from Brasov with some parliament members
At Brasov county hall trade-unionists of "Infratirea" Federation have met
some parliament members from Brasov among which Sorin LepsaSand Florin
Tudose from PNTCD, Romulus Moucha and Sergiu Chiriacescu from PDSR,
Aristotel Cancescu and Vasile Bran from PD and Gheorghe Secara from PUNR.
Regional administration chief Ioan Opris has also taken part into meeting.
Trade-unionists who were present there were representatives of "Infratirea"
Federation - organizer of meeting - leaders of ALFA Cartel, National Trade-
union Body and CNSLF-Fratia. From the beginning Federation pesident Adrian
Damian has affirmed he is authorized by the other tradee-union leaders to
ask resignation of deputies who did not honoured this meeting namely
Nicolae Zavici and Ionut Gherasim from PNTCD, Victor Babiuc - PD, Radu
Cojocaru - PNL, Marcian Bleahu - PER and Tiberiu Kovacs - UDMR. They have
talked about old trade-union claims especially those concerning big
enterprises from Brasov: Tractorul, Rulmentul and ICA Ghimbav, but they
drew no conclusion. After meeting trade-unionists were sceptic regarding
solving problems and they thought a new Slan of meetings in the future.

[04] End of the fourth trilateral Romania-Bulgaria-Greece
On Saturday in Santorini Island the fourth trilateral Romania-Bulgaria-
Greece at foreign ministers level was over. Romanian diplomacy head has
appreciated it as a success. On this occasion Romanian Foreign Minister
Andrei Plesu declared: "We talked together about problems concerning
economic co-operation, visa conditions, our reaction's systematization
towards Mafia type crime, illegal narcotics' and weapons' traffic and
illegal immigration. Foreign ministers agreed a centre of Initiative for
South-East European co-operation for fighting against Mafia type crime to
be in Romania". At the same time Andrei Plesu has referred to expressed
opinions concerning situation from Kosovo province, all problems of the
region and multinational force for maintaining peace. "It was a session of
intense and efficient debates so that we have prospects of a lasting co-
operation in which EuropeaS and Euro-Atlantic integration is - naturally -
not to be forgotten. Greece is a state which support intensely the two
partner states in this trilateral concerning race which we have already
begun" Romanian Foreign Minister Andrei Plesu has also affirmed. RADOR,
