[02] FIRST CASE OF FALSIFIED ALBANIAN PASSPORT OF SERVICE UNCOVERED BY FOREIGN AUTHORITIES

TIRANA, MARCH 26 (ATA) - By Atlant Frasheri: The boarder police of Hungary uncovered Tuesday the first case of the illegal use of the falsified Albanian passports of service and the diplomatic ones, stolen in the central warehouse of the Interior Ministry, says the report of the Juridical Department and Consular Treaties of the Albanian Foreign Ministry.

The Hungarian authorities have detained the citizen Adrian Mara, inhabitant in Tirana, with a falsified passport of service. This citizen is detained actually by the Hungarian police, and is accused of the penal act of falsification," says a report of the Interior Ministry.

[03] SHIK CHIEF HOLDS INTERPELLATION IN PARLIAMENT

TIRANA, MARCH 26 (ATA)- By A. Frasheri: During an interpellation in the Albanian parliament today, the chief of the National Information Service (SHIK), Bashkim Gazidede, spoke of a plan, called LOTOS, drafted in 1990 in Greece "On the liberation of North Epirus from the Albanian domination through an armed insurrection". He added that involved in this plan also are former senior officials of the Albanian Army and the Interior Ministry.

Gazidede said that the loan-taking investment funds Populli and Xhaferri, besides the economic activity also carried out a political activity, being leaders of the People's Party, which according to him, was the Communist Party in another name. The leaders of these firms and of Gjallica firm in districts have been officers of the former Sigurimi and the Army.

After making a long analysis of the 5-year-work of SHIK and declaring that he was ready to put at the disposal of any kind of commission set up by the Parliament the documentation of the work of SHIK, Bashkim Gazidede called on every Albanian to see his own responsibilities.

"It is high time to charge nobody on the basis of rumors and that every Albanian must see his own responsibilities," said Gazidede.

Regarding the activity of Safet Zhulali, former Defence Minister, Gazidede said that "although I have no information to put blame on him, he, as a minister, should hold a special responsibility."

When asked for direct facts as proofs, Gazidede said:"We have full documentation of the chauvinist Greek circles and other segments, both in and out of Albania, but SHIK does not sensitize the public opinion but the state."

Gazidede laid the stress on the indispensable need of SHIK and its quickest possible functioning, and explained some details of his work.

Numerous deputies considered pyramid investment schemes not only fraudulent, but also "scenarios for destabilization."

The DP chairman, Tritan Shehu stressed that "we should never mix the anti-albanian stand of some Greek circles with the stand of the Greek people and Government, which have supported the consolidation of democracy in Albania."

The deputies denounced the stands of some chauvinistic circles but highlighted the admirable stand of the national minorities living in Albania, especially that of the largest one, the Greek minority, and expressed their thanks for the Greek Government and people for the support provided to Albania during these years.

"Albanians have always been for peace. By backing up the Platform of National Reconciliation, and having the support of the international community, we think that public order and stability will soon be restored in Albania," said the chairman of the DP parliamentary group, Ali Spahia.

At the end of the sitting, after explaining that SHIK has implemented only the laws of the Parliament, Gazidede stressed his readiness to face any possible verification. Gazidede also declared his request for resignation, addressed to President Berisha. kled/lm/xh/

[04] TWO ALBANIANS KILLED AND ANOTHER INJURED IN VICINITY OF KLINE- the Serbs also accuse of terror among Albanians -

PRISTINA, MARCH 26 (ATA) - Two Albanians, Jusuf Halitaj and Fehmi Haziri, were killed, while another Mehmet Gashi was injured, by machine-guns in an ambush on Tuesday in Kosove near Biceve village of Kline commune, Serbian sources report.

The report is also confirmed by the Albanian sources in Kline, but according to them the last name of the second person is Halitaj.

In the announcement of the Serbian newspaper "Jedinstvo" of Pristina is said that this crime is an act committed by the terrorist Albanians against their patriots, loyal to the Serbian state, as well as against police, army and Serbian civilians.

During this year, more than a hundred Albanians have been arrested in Kosove, claiming that they have been arrested during the police operations to detain the terrorists, and in this campaign of the Serbian police, three Albanians have been killed and another one has died due to the tortures in jail.

The Serbian prosecutor's office of department in Pristine has presented recently the charge against 18 Albanians, accused of being members of the National Liberation Movement of Kosove, while the Serbian Court of the department in Pristine has decided to conduct investigations against 17 Albanians, accused of being members of the Kosove Liberation Army. /b.j/p.ta/kled/mt/

[05] APPEAL OF ALBANIAN PATRIOTIC ORGANIZATIONS ADDRESSED TO INTERNATIONAL COMMUNITY

TIRANA, MARCH 26 (ATA) - By P Shuteriqi: Twenty five patriotic and cultural associations have addressed an appeal to the Council of Ministers of the European Union and to all embassies accredited to Tirana. They call on international organizations and institutions to powerfully influence in the defence of the territorial integrity and the constitutional institutions of the Albanian democratic system.

According to Dr Myslim Islami, chairman of the all-Albanian Association "The Prizren League" centered in Tirana, the request of these associations is an analysis of the recent situation in Albania and an expression of support towards the National Reconciliation Government and its program.

The Appeal also demands from the European Union and the diplomatic corps accredited to Tirana to exert a powerful influence to halt, first of all, any anti-national, splitting and destructive activity, to ensure the observation of the Fundamental Constitutional Provisions, declaring that the elected local governments are the only legitimate structures, that any other violent structure is unconstitutional, that the constitutional instititutions are categorically invulnerable, that the naming, dismission or replacement of the representatives of these institutions may be realised only through ways envisaged by law, and that a qualified assistance be given for the quickest and most complete possible disarmament of the population.

The appeal is also addressed to the foreign medias, radio and television stations to keep off distortions, because the image of Albania is not that they report of.

In such an extremely difficult situation Albania is experiencing, the call is also addressed to the European and other governments not to increase pressures on Albanian emigrants and refugees. The Albanian nation, which is among the most damaged by the notorious treaties of Saint Stephan, of Berlin, of the Conference of London, of Paris etc., must be assisted and defended in this rather difficult situation for it, because only in this way the peace in the Balkans, and Europe is defended, says at the end the Appeal of 25 Albanian patriotic and cultural organizations. kled/xh/sh/
