BANJA LUKA - French Ambassador to B&H Ives Gaudel said in Banja Luka to the president of Republika Srpska /RS/ Biljana Plavsic that his country supports her and policy of president of Government Milorad Dodik, what is proved by "their visits to Paris". He expressed great contentment with the progress in RS, especially from the moment when Dodik became president of Government and stressed that the West will furthermore support people who are for progress, democracy and implementation of Dayton agreement.

BRCKO - The office of the international Representative in Brcko warned the mayor of Brcko Borko Reljic because of attempt to make influence on free choice of population in deciding where to live. In the text with the memorandum of the Office, without headline and signature, Reljic's call upon the Serbian refugees settled in the edge areas of municipality to stay in Brcko, was characterised as "absolutely unacceptable attempt of officials to openly have impact on free choice of individuals".

DOBOJ - The representatives of RS which had to participate at the World's "esperanto" congress in Montpellier and European youth festival in Lisbon the Hungarian border authorities have returned on last weekend from the border crossing Paja although they possessed new passports of B&H. The border custom officers have treated them as the persons who tried illegally to pass the border and enter into Hungary, proclaimed their passports as incorrect and by filling the form on deportation returned them back to FR Yugoslavia /FRY/.

BELGRADE - The way in which was arrested the passed away M.D. Milan Kovacevic and the treatment in the Hague's prison Scheveningen where he was deprived with the medical care because of what he died show the stance of International court for the former Yugoslavia towards Serbian people - stated for SRNA the member of the Commission of legal experts of RS Darko Trifunovic. "The way in which was arrested MD Kovacevic is the precedent in justice, because he was arrested without proofs and indictment which is legally founded and on the basis of the sealed indictment which returns us into the Middle Ages" - said Trifunovic, assessing that the sealed indictment "is the instrument which has to frighten Serbian people".

BANJA LUKA - The workers of security of Banski Dvor in Banja Luka prevented the delegates of Banja Luka Assembly to enter into the building and continue 11th session commenced on July 29. The Banja Luka mayor Djordje Umicevic stated that the building of Banski Dvor is under the competence of city Assembly, so that its delegates can manage by it.

BANJA LUKA - The president of the association of Syndicates of RS Cedo Volas thanked to the representatives of the association "Luciano Lama" from Sicily for the 13 days stay of 59 war orphans from Banja Luka and Celinac on that Island. At the press conference in Banja Luka Volas said that by that act was strengthened the friendship and cooperation of the Association of syndicates of RS and Syndicates of Italy and Sicily.

PRISTINA - The member of the Ministry of internal affairs of Serbia Miomir Stojanovic, who was wounded on August 2 in the attack of Albanian terrorists near the village Prilep on the road Decani-Djakovica, has passed away, learns SRNA from the representatives of local authorities in Pec. Stojanovic was transported immediately after wounding at the Military- medicine academy in Belgrade, but he died.

PRISTINA - In the yesterday's and early morning today clashes in the region of Smonica, North-Western from Djakovica, was killed at least ten Albanian terrorists, but between civilians and police there were no injured - learns SRNA from local authorities of this municipality. Smonica, from which terrorists were expelled, was considered as the stronghold from which every day was opened fire at the members of the Ministry of internal affairs of Serbia.

PRISTINA - The regional public attorney office in Pec has submitted to the Regional court in this city the requirement for investigation against Edmond Delija from Djakovica because of the founded suspicion that he has committed the criminal act of joining because of hostile acting. Delija, who is temporarily in detention, during May, June and the beginning of July has recruited the members Albanian minority because of joining to the terroristic organisation "Liberation army of Kosovo" and transported them to the terroristic base in the village Glodjane in municipality Glodjane.

BANJALUKA - German Ambassador to B&H, Graf fon Basevic introduced in Banjaluka the President of Republika Srpska (RS) to the head of the German Embassy Office in Banjaluka, Ingrid Bodva. Out of the technical reasons German Embassy has not been able to conduct its services in RS why it was decided for the Office in Banjaluka to be opened. The newly opened Office will be dealing with economic issues as well as with the return of refugees projects.

BRCKO - The assessment made by the OHR in Brcko that a Mayor of Brcko, Borko Reljic publicly exerted influence on a free choice of an individual is groundless and has no base in the previous work of the Municipal administration in Brcko, stated for SRNA the Executive Board member, Sinisa Kisic. According to the OHR, Reljic's call on Serbian refugees from the outlying areas of the Municipality to stay in Brcko is "absolutely unacceptable attempt made by officials to exert influence on a free choice of an individual."

BANJALUKA - The Serbian Democratic Party (SDS) and the Serbian Radical Party (SRS) representatives forwarded a joint request to the President of the RS National Assembly, Petar Djokic, for holding of an irregular session of the Republic Parliament. "Judging the total situation in RS, leadership of these two parties thinks that a chaos took place here as well as the totalitarian and puppet authority in this region," is said in the request.

BANJALUKA - The President of the SDS Presidency, Dragan Kalinic, forwarded a telegram of condolences to the family of dr. Kovacevic, who died in the Hague prison of a massive heart attack. "I want to express on the behalf of SDS and myself, my deep condolences in regard on the occasion of a sudden death of Dr. Milan Kovacevic." - is said in a telegram.

DOBOJ - The Municipal Board of the Party of Independent Socialdemocrats in Doboj, expressed discontent with a work of the Municipal authorities in this city, because, according to them the Municipal authorities are responsible for difficult situation in the Municipality and because not even existential problems of the inhabitants have been solved. The SNSD Board from Doboj will ask from the Government for the SNSD to take part in problems related to social policy, status of refugees and displaced persons and war veterans issues.

BANJALUKA - The international community will sent more than 3 millions of DM to certain parties in B&H which are urging on multyethnicity and the implementation of the Dayton Peace Accord, said the OSCE spokesman for Banjaluka, Paul Hokinos. He did not wish to announce which parties will be included but he said it was about an indirect help, in accordance with the Bonn declaration.

VISEGRAD - A Centre for complains and objections on the temporary voter's list for the elections in September, started with work in the Municipal building in Visegrad. Through this centre citizens will be able to check whether data on the list are correct.

RUDO - In the supervision of the elections in September, for the first time will be included representatives of the nongovernmental organisations from Trebinje to Srbinje - said for SRNA Robert Belony, coordinator for nongovernmental organisations in the FB&H and the RS. According to him these supervisors should give more credibility to the elections".

BELGRADE - Serbian refugees from Croatia are the most deprived, loneliest and endangered people in Europe - is said in the fourth Report on return of refugees and their property laws and rights, prepared by the Association for Assistance to refugees in the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia. This report has been send to the UN Secretary General Kofy Annan, the UN High Commissioner for refugees, Sadako Ogata and the International Community High Representative in B&H, Carlos Westendorp, it was said at a press- conference in Belgrade.

BELGRADE - Refusal by the Hague Tribunal of giving medical help to Dr. Milan Kovacevic, what had as a consequence a death of Kovacevic, is not a coincidence or a fault but established procedure by the Hague War Crime Tribunal toward Serbian detainees - especially to those whose indictments have no ground. There are reasons ,however, for a suspicion that Slavko Dokmanovic committed a suicide and Kovacevic died of a massive heart attack.

TRAVNIK - After the latest murder of policeman in Travnik Croatian officials at the Travnik Municipal Council made a decision not to participate in the work of the Municipal institutions until culprits or those who gave an order are arrested. "That does not mean that we are going to leave the Municipal building and our jobs because that belongs to us. Croatian officials within the joint authority have not had much saying in all this except that they were chronicles of the events" - is said in the announcement of the Croatian officials.

SARAJEVO - If exiles and murders of Croats are continued in FB&H, the B&H Croatian Democratic Community will revive the Herceg-Bosna - warned the FB&H vice-president, Vladimir Soljic, Croatian radio reports. Recent murder of a Croatian policeman, still unsolved, was a reason why the HDZ local leaders gave up the participation in the authority in that city until a murderer is found.

BAN JALUKA - The President of Republika Srpska (RS), Biljana Plavsic, forwarded a telegram of condolences to the family of dr. Milan Kovacevic, who had passed away on 1 August in the Hague prison Scheveningen.

KOTOR VAROS - The RS and its freedom have no price - warned in Kotor Varos the president of the Serbian Democratic Party (SDS) Presidency, Dragan Kalinic, adding that "only victory of national patriotic parties in the forthcoming elections is a precondition for the RS survival". "Along with people and the army the SDS through seven bloody years of war in these regions was making RS and only SDS can preserve RS in these dramatic times".

PRIJEDOR - A German chancellor commissioner for return of refugees Ditmar Schle, had talks in Prijedor with the President of the Municipal Assembly, Borislav Maric, about return of refugees and displaced persons in this Municipality on the basis of a "1+1+1" plan. Maric informed Schle about a plan for return of refugees, made by the Prijedor Municipal Assembly by which, within the first phase, is anticipated reconstruction of 1,395 houses.

BELGRADE - A chairman of the Helsinki Committee on Human rights in Serbia (HOS), Sonja Biserko, said that no significant progress has been made in solving of the return of refugees problem, although this year was proclaimed as a year of return. At a press-conference she assessed that return of refugees, especially minorities, and their reintegration, which is the goal of the Dayton Peace Accord is still "a key problem" for multiethnicity in the regions of former Yugoslavia.

LONDON - The Amnesty International accused the Government of Croatia of avoiding to clear up murders of civilians in Krajina in 1995 and asked for an urgent court inquiry in order for culprits to be punished - agencies report. This international organisation criticised Croatia because of the fact that some members of the Croatian forces have not been punished so far although they had killed "hundreds of Serbs".
