NEWS REVIEW, REPUBLIKA SRPSKA

BELGRADE - His Holy Highness Serbian patriarch Mr. Pavle served on the occasion of greatest Christian holiday Easter the Holy archpriest liturgy in the Belgrade's monastery "Entrance of Theotokos into the Temple".

SOKOLAC - His Holy Highness metropolitan Dabrobosanski Nikolaj, along with assistance of clergy served the Easter liturgy in the Church Romanijska Lazarica. The liturgy was attended by the huge number of believers to whom metropolitan Nikolaj congratulated the most joyous Christina holiday. The epistle of His Holy Highness Serbian patriarch Mr. Pavle was read.

DOBOJ - The president of Government of Republika Srpska /RS/ Milorad Dodik stated on the manifestation "The Basketball gathering of RS" in Doboj that the population in this Serbian state could deal with other matters and not only divisions. After the end of the match of 24 best basketball players in Republic played in two teams - Red and White, in the statement for SRNA Dodik stated that this meeting "has shown that in RS exist maximal unity of all, no matter in which part a man live or is". "Sport has won and our unity, our basketball quality is shown, and atmosphere was extraordinary" assessed Dodik the meeting of the basketball aces of RS.

SARAJEVO - In the village Trninic Brijeg near Drvar on April 15 in the evening in the most atrocious manner were killed Vojin Trninic and his wife Lela, and after that their house was burned, where they had returned a month ago, after two and half years exile. They are firstly beaten and stabbed by knives, after which they were killed from the fire arms, and their house burned, in order to hide the traces of the crime. KAKANJ - The president of the Municipal Board of the Croatian Democratic Union /HDZ/ of Kakanj Niko Lozancic warned on "concerning status of Croats", who returned from the exile into this municipality under Moslem control, report the Croatian media. To the Croats who returned into Kakanj Moslems still did not allow to return enter into their homes. Nobody of 181 returnees, although able to work, was given the job, and all tillable land, property of Croats, was usurped and Moslems do not allow even the access to the private property - claims Lozancic.

JERUSALEM - The Centre Simon Weisental in Jerusalem claims that Dinko Sakic is not the only "ustasha's" war criminal, as beside him on the list are Ivo Rojnica, Vinko Nikolic /departed/, Mate Sarlija-Daidza, who are guilty for crimes in Independent state of Croatia during the Second World War and must be brought to justice. The "ustasha" agent for Dubrovnik county Rojnica was until 1994 the representative of Croatia to Argentina, and Tudjman decorated him several times. Mate Sarlija-Daidza /uncle/, is working as the counsellor for international relations in Croatian Embassy in Sarajevo.

SARAJEVO - In RS were performed timely and quality preparations for spring sowing, but because of the bad weather works are being decelerated. And while the agricultural workers are expressing the optimism, the producers of tobacco fears that this year's yield will be decreased. Text "Maize growth - fall of tobacco?" - prepared the SRNA journalist Branko Kusmuk.

SARAJEVO - His Holy Highness Serbian patriarch Pavle served the Easter arch- priest liturgy in the Belgrade's monastery "Entrance of the Theotokos into the Temple", and the greatest Christian holiday - Resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ - was marked throughout Republika Srpska /RS/, FR Yugoslavia /FRY/ and in Diaspora. His High Holiness metropolitan Dabrobosanski Nikolaj with assistance of priests served the Easter liturgy in the Church Romanijska Lazarica.

KOTOR VAROS - The arch-priest Bosko Mandic served with assistance of the clergy from neighbouring parishes, the central Easter liturgy in the Church of Synaxis of the Holy Theotokos in Kotor Varos.

JASENOVAC - Around 2,000 Serbs, Jews, Gypsies and Croats gathered in Jasenovac, on the place of the infamous detention camp from the Second World War, paying respect to the victims of this slaughter site, created during the ustasha-fascist's regime in the then Independent State of Crotia /NDH/ - report the SRNa correspondent. "The number of victims is still unknown, but for us who had survived victims are not figures but eyes, voices and screaming of many people who suffered with us" - said the survived inmate of the camp Mara Cvetko addressing the assembled people on the memorial rally organised on the occasion of 53 years of liberation of this camp.

PRISTINA - Five armed persons in mask uniforms last night on the road Urosevac-Gnjilane stopped the bus and looted passengers, was announced in the Media Centre in PRistina. The bus was the property of the private firm Fati Comerc, and passengers came from Austria.

SOPHIA - The eventual sanctions of the Contact group towards FR Yugoslavia are not "the key for solution" of the Kosovo crisis, which Serbia should solve without foreign interference, because Kosovo is its internal affair, stated for SRNA the delegate in the National Assembly of Bulgaria and president of Antifascist Union of Bulgaria Valko Valkanov. He assessed that "Kosovo is the issue about which "there is no bargaining" and asked how the Bulgarian people would react in case that international community asked such question "whether Bulgaria or some its part should exist or not".
