NEWS REVIEW, REPUBLIKA SRPSKA

TREBINJE - The president of Government of Republika Srpska /RS/ Milorad Dodik announced in trebinje that tomorrow he will departure to Vienna in the framework of the series of preparation talks before the session of European Parliament, at which would be considered the role and position of RS. In the framework of visit to Austria it is expected that premier Dodik will visit Linz after invitation of association of Serbs in this city.

THESSALONIKI - The Greek media convey the statement of chief of British Foreign Office Robin Cook, who welcomed the attempts of RS president Biljana Plavsic and premier Milorad Dodik in overcoming political and economic crisis in B&H. Mr. Cook, who is the presiding of the Council of Ministers of EU, stated after the visit to Sarajevo and Banja Luka that "for the first time he is going away from B&H with the hope for better tomorrow".

PRISTINA - The informational service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs /MUP. of Serbia announced that during yesterday's and today's actions in Donji Prekaz near Srbica was destroyed the core of the terroristic organisation of Albanian separatists and killed their leader Adem Jasari. During two days slashes with Albanian separatists was liquidated more than 20 terrorists who in attacks against police forces used machine guns, sniper guns, carbines and hand bombs, is stated in the announcement.

PODGORICA - The president of Montenegro Milo Djukanovic and the chief of Greek diplomacy Theodoras Pangalos condemned in Podgorica the Albanian terrorism in Kosovo and assessed that eventual changes of state borders could be very dangerous. Djukanovic assessed that violence and terrorism are the wrong ways no matter from which side it comes. "Those ways unavoidably lead towards further internationalisation of Kosovo problem", said the president of Montenegro. The minister Pangalos stressed that it is necessary to keep integrity of Serbia and FR Yugoslavia and warned that Serbia would undertake political initiative on Kosovo.

VIENNA - The Austrian chancellor Victor Klima and premier of Finland Pavo Laponen made their efforts in Vienna for reiterated establishing autonomy on Kosovo within borders of FRY, requiring solving of Kosovo problem on the political basis and without use of force. The chancellor Klima assessed that the responsibility for clashes on Kosovo bear the president of Serbia Slobodan Milosevic and leaders of Albanian extremists on Kosmet.

THESSALONIKI - The Greek "Elephterotipia" deems for peaceful solution of the crisis on Kosovo the international community should first secure untouchable borders, because its changing would lead to war conflicts with unforeseeable consequences. The Greek daily thinks that the key of the solution of the crisis in Kosmet is in hands of authorities in Belgrade and assesses that the policy of strong hand of FRY president is not being changed.

BELGRADE - The president of Serbian Democratic Party /SDS/ for Serbia Dragoljub Kojcic criticised the political non engagement of president of Serbia Milan Milutinovic in the dramatic situation in Kosovo.
