NEWS REVIEW, REPUBLIKA SRPSKA

VIENNA - The president of Republika Srpska /RS/ Biljana Plavsic arrived to Vienna, where, as reports Austrian press agency APA, will meet the minister of Foreign Affairs of Austria Wolfgang Schuessel, and afterwards hold the joint press conference. The president of RS will, as APA reports, tomorrow attend the session of the International Arbitrage Commission for interentity boundary line in the region of Brcko in the hotel "Ambassador".

BANJA LUKA - The vice-president of National Assembly of RS and president of Serbian Radical Party /SRS/ of RS Nikola Poplasen during the talks with Ambassador of Republic of Hungary to B&H Kalaman Kochisz expressed the hope that the Hungarian Government will find the way to support remaining of Brcko in RS, as well as the principle of equality of entities. Poplasen and Kochisz jointly condemned the acts of police from Federation B&H during arresting Goran Vasic and required his urgent releasing.

BIJELJINA - The arresting of Goran Vasic and Slavisa Lale in Serbian Sarajevo, which according to the confident data performed the members of the secret service of Federation B&H /B&H/ - AID, is the heavy incident calculated for preventing freedom of movement, provoking the fear of Serbian people and disabling the conclusions of the Conference about Sarajevo as multi-ethnical city - warns the Ministry of Internal Affairs of RS /MUP RS/. "The action was lead by the chief of department of this service in the municipality Novi Grad Nazif Hadzic, and the group comprised the former members of the special police "Lasta", known by crimes towards Serbian people in Sarajevo and other places" - is said in the announcement from the Cabinet of the minister Milovan Stankovic.

SARAJEVO - The special UN reporteur for human rights Elisabeth Rehn visited in the federal part of Sarajevo Goran Vasic, who told her that "there is no reason to confess anything" and that he would like more to be in Hague than in Sarajevo". The international community sent to the president of federal Government Edhem Bicakcic the letter, proposing the fair trial to Goran Vasic, not in Sarajevo but in Hague. "The evidence is sent to Hague, where the court would, at latest for 48 hours, decide whether or not will take over the case", stated the deputy commissioner of IPTF colonel Schum Werner.

BIJELJINA - At the joint meeting of the military commissions of the Army of Republika Srpska /VRS/ and Army of Federation B&H, held in Bijeljina, was concluded that much is done on implementation of military part of Dayton Agreement, on the basis of establishing mutual confidence and respect. The commander of the First Corps of VRS colonel general Momir Talic confirmed after the meeting that "in the past period of time there were not significant problems which would require engagement of VRS, Army of B&H and commands of SFOR" and added that "such meetings, at which is being analysed the process of implementation of Dayton Agreement, are always welcomed".

PRISTINA - The acceptance of school parallelism, reflected in implementing different languages, curriculums and programmes, represent the legalisation of separatism, warned the rector of the University Pristina Radivoje Papovic during the meeting with the German Ambassador to FR Yugoslavia Wilfrid Gruber. Papovic stressed that the school parallelism and such way of education already was present in Kosovo and Metohija and asked himself "must they repeat the same mistake".
