BANJALUKA - The vice-president of the National Assembly of Republika Srpska /NA RS/ Nikola Poplasen and the Deputy High International representative Hans Schumacher agreed on the subject that arguments pro and contra newly elected Government should be discuss in the Parliament in democratic way. Schumacher explained that he had delivered three important messages to - "accept a new Government with Milorad Dodik as a prime minister, and if it is disputed , than it must be done in the normal parliament's procedure in order to let Government to fulfil what it had promised".

BANJA LUKA - The prime minister of new RS government Milorad Dodik will return his mandate of representative in the RS National Assembly , the post of the president of Executive Board Laktasi Municipality and membership in the alternative Council of Ministers in B&H - announced in Banja Luka the general secretary of Independent Social-Democratic Party (SNSD) and people's representative Nenad Bastinac. He pointed out at the press conference that SNSD expects that Parliament on the next session, announced on Saturday in Banjaluka," continue with the work in order to come out of the current crisis" and that new ministers will take the solemn oath.

BANJA LUKA - The proposed Minister of Faith in the new RS Government Jovo Turanjanin has informed the prime minister Milorad Dodik that he could not accept that post until he gets a concord of all Parliamentary Parties, Archbishop of Serbian Orthodox Church and blessing of Bishop's Council. " I inform You that in this moment I am not in the position to take over this position of the Minister of Faith in RS Government, proposed by You, and elected by the National Assembly," it is emphasised in the request that Turanjanin has sent to Dodik on that occasion.

SARAJEVO - The Ministry of Finance of RS announced that until the clarifying the new political situation it performs its regular jobs in the domain of creating the report about realising the budget for 1997 and other legislative regulations, as well as the problems in connection with the relations with international institutions. "All other jobs are stopped because doing preparations for eventual taking over the duty of new minister", is said in the announcement.

SARAJEVO - The Office of the High Representative will submit the complaint on the verdict of the Cantonal court in Sarajevo by which the Serbian Veselin Cancar was sentenced 11 years of prison, because there do not exist the evidence by which would be confirmed that the allegations of indictment for committed war crimes in Srbinje, stated the spokeswoman of the High Representative Aisling Byrne. At the press conference in Sarajevo she expressed "the worry with the verdict by which Cancar is charged for war crimes, including harassment of detainees and killing one civilian", assessing that it is in the direct contradiction with the Rome agreement from February 18 1996, so called "Rules of the road".

SARAJEVO - The director of the World Bank for B&H Rorry O'Sullivan stated at the press conference in Sarajevo that this financial institution approved two new credits for reconstruction of Republika Srpska /RS/ and Federation B&H /FB&H/ in amount of 17 and 10 million of $ US. He explained that Croatian member of the Presidency of B&H Kresimir Zubak signed the contract about this credit, and he was authorised to do so at the yesterday's session of Presidency in Sarajevo.

BANJA LUKA - The political right of each individual and part is not to recognise Government, but that can not cancel the fact that the Government was elected by the majority votes in National Assembly, is stated in the announcement of Rajko Vasic, the minister of information in newly appointed Government of RS forwarded to SRNA. "By non-recognition of newly appointed Government of RS and calling for peaceful protests against it, Serbian Democratic Party /SDS/ continues the political obstruction not only within RS but also against international community", is stressed in text and it was added that it is "the attempt of continuation of the process of division of RS".

PRIJEDOR - The president of Municipal Board of Serbian People's Union /SNS/ of Prijedor Dragan Veselinovic assessed that the legitimacy of new government can not be brought into question because, as he said, it is elected on the basis of Constitution and Rules of Procedure on work of Assembly. "The fact that for National Assembly voted the delegates from Federation B&H is the fate to which contributed SDS and SRS /radicals/", stressed Veselinovic, adding that "SDS, as the greatest party in Assembly, in Coalition with radicals has no necessary majority for holding the existing level of authority, and is not ready to share it with nobody else".

SARAJEVO - In Sarajevo was held the 11th session of the House of people of the parliament of FB&H at which was decided, at the proposal of Government, to discuss about the Proposal about the Law on housing relations, and urgently about the Proposal about the Law on amendments and supplements of the Law on internal affairs of FB&H.
