NEWS REVIEW, REPUBLIKA SRPSKA

BELGRADE - The vice-president of the Government of Republika Srpska /RS/ Aleksa Buha assessed for Belgrade's "Blits" that Srpska will overcome the crisis and that it is not in the lethal danger, and that the concept for the government by the mandatory Mladen Ivanic is not the appropriate solution. "The crisis in Srpska is not finished by the early elections and can not be finished until holding the presidential elections for president of Republika Srpska and president in Presidency of B&H from RS" - added Buha. According to his assessment, Ivanic's concept of the government composed by the principle: "half of ministers from political parties and half from so called professionals" is not appropriate solution. "Not much fancy is needed to get and insight that such government could not function and that such diversity in composition could only deepen the crisis" - thinks Mr. Buha.

BANJA LUKA - The mandatory for the composition of the new RS government Mladen Ivanic stated in Banja Luka that he expected that SDS and Serbian radical party of RS /SRS RS/ will not accept his concept "of the government of national unity", "regarding the current political situation". He did not present all the details about the composition of the government which he would have form, but he announced that he intends to offer three presidential posts to Mr. Buha, Mr. Poplasen and president of Socialistic Party of RS Zivko Radisic, six ministerial posts to SDS and five to other parliamentary parties.

AMSTERDAM - The military engagement of the West in conflicts with other states is not in the function of humanitarian objectives, nor protection of human rights, but is first of all commenced because of own interests - is said in the comment of the Dutch biweekly "Intermedier". Such a stance of U. S., which in diplomatic circles is called "Clinton's doctrine", Washington announced in May 1994, when was said that U.S. will actively participate and back only those peace missions of UN in which they would see the opportunity to realise some of their political aims, is added in the comment. It was clearly proven in the example of Rwanda, when Americans rejected to involve and prevent the genocide of the wide extent, because they have evaluated that Rwanda is of not great importance for them, nor for outer or inner policy of the country.

SARAJEVO - The weather in RS is moderately to mainly overcast with the mist in the central part, and similar weather will remain until the end of the day with the possibility of weak rain. Tomorrow morning the meteorologists expect the overcast with rain and snow in higher areas.
