THEASSALONIKI - The situation in B&H is extremely tense, and past events, especially recent parliamentary elections in Republika Srpska and Bonn Conference, showed that there is no reason for much optimism - concludes "Elefterotipia". As stated in the text, the members of the Presidency of B&H at the Bonn Conference were forced to sign Protocol which "nobody has intention to implement".

BELGRADE - The president of the Democratic Party of Serbia Vojislav Kostunica expressed in Belgrade his regret because the Agreement on double citizenship between FR Yugoslavia and B&H "in this moment is without any legal effect". "That agreement is undoubtedly made because the daily political needs, as the contribution of the presidential campaign of Milan Milutinovic" - explained Kostunica, adding that, according to the Constitution of B&H, the agreement of that kind are legally valid only if they are concluded between B&H and FR Yugoslavia and verified in their parliaments.

BELGRADE - The minister of the Foreign affairs of Italy Lamberto Dini accepted the official invitation of his counterpart Milan Milutinovic and tomorrow will visit FRY - it is announced from the Federal Ministry of the Foreign Affairs. According to the unofficial information, Dini will be received also by the president of FRY Slobodan Milosevic.

SARAJEVO - The Croatian Assembly adopted at the end of the last week the amendments of the Constitution according to which Moslems did not get not even the status of the national minority, what provoked the sharp reactions of Moslem media and officials. Moslem Ambassador to Zagreb Kasim Trnka assessed the complete eviction of Moslems from the Croatian Constitution as very bad act regarding the establishing friendly relations between Federation B&H and Croatia.

ANKARA - The Turkish Government stated that it breaks all political dialogue with EU being disappointed because it is not received in the membership of this European association - reports DPA. Turkey is not anymore ready to discuss with EU about the disputable issues as human rights and clash with Greece about Cyprus - was announced from the Cabinet of the Turkish premier Mesud Yilmaz.

BRUSSELS - The UE member states see the decision of Turkey to break the political dialogue with this European association as too early, although the response on the unexpected move of

Turkey remain to be harmonised within EU" - stated the British minister of the Foreign affairs Robin Cook. His German counterpart Klaus Kinkel sharply condemned the decision of Turkey to reject the invitation for participation on the London Conference of EU next spring: "This act is for regret, wrong and unfounded".

JAHORINA - The Chess grand master from Ukraine Andrey Zontah, who has 2.560 points on the rating list of FIDA, assessed on Jahorina that the Second international chess grand master tournament "Jahorina '97" was well organised and that extraordinarily strong composition of players justify the high, 12th category of the Tournament.
