NEWS REVIEW, REPUBLIKA SRPSKA

SARAJEVO - The thirteenth session of the National Assembly of Republika Srpska /RS/ will be held on Jahorina mountain, with the beginning at 10,00 o'clock, and on it will be considered the reports about the previous local elections in Republics, and the information on arbitrage of disputed part of inter-entity border line in the region of Brcko. The delegates will get the reports of REC about the results of elections for delegates in municipal assemblies in RS, representatives of RS in PEC about organising and conducting elections, and members of Electoral Appealing Sub-commission from RS about solving the complaints from RS on the occasion of municipal elections.

SARAJEVO - Because more and more frequent threats, physical and psychical mistreating and attacks on the families and personal property of the national delegates who in last months are coming on the sessions of RS parliament, the president of National Assembly Dragan Kalinic used his right to hold the session behind closed doors. Kalinic expressed his gratitude to foreign and domestic media for the attention and significance which they paid to the sessions of the National Assembly, and his decision explained by the pressures against delegates "by political opponents and supporters of the policy of Biljana Plavsic".

BANJA LUKA - The president of RS Biljana Plavsic and Hubert Birt, the special coordinator for the peace process of the EU presiding country - Luxembourg, talked last night in Banja Luka about implementation of the results of municipal and organising the parliamentary elections, scheduled for 22 and 23 November. "We talked about one very important theme - the assistance of EU and economic recovery of RS, which is the prerequisite for its democratic development. I talked about that also with the commissioner of EU for Foreign Affairs Hans van der Bruck, which understanding was evident. Nevertheless, everybody expect the results of the parliamentary elections" - stressed Plavsic.

SARAJEVO - The president in Presidency of B&H from RS Momcilo Krajisnik and the deputy minister of the Foreign Affairs in the Council of Ministers Dragan Bozanic talked last night in Pale with the special envoy of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs Alexander Aksentiak and Ambassador to Sarajevo Jakov Gerasimov.

SARAJEVO - The representatives of 11 member countries of the Steering Board for implementation of peace will meet at 15,30 h in the National Museum in Sarajevo with the members of the Presidency of B&H and co-presiding of the Council of Ministers. The session will be attended with the representatives of EU, OSCE and World Bank, and prior will be held the session of the Board, which once monthly convene the High Representative for the civil affairs for B&H.

SARAJEVO - The general director of the Serbian radio-TV Miroslav Toholj stated last night that the president of RS and the leader of the Serbian National Union Biljana Plavsic "will sue for allegations which, hidden by the presidential immunity, connected for his name". Reacting on the accusations about being involved into the criminal acts, which at the yesterday's press conference in Banja Luka gave Ms. Plavsic, Toholj said that "there will come the day when she will be obliged to present the evidence for her allegations and accounts".

BRCKO - The identity cards of RS yesterday in the Brcko settlement Omerbegovaca has got another 39 returnees - it is confirmed in the Police station in this city. According to the agreement of the representatives of Rs government and international supervisor for the region of Brcko Robert Farrand the documents are being issued on the day and in the place of return.

PRIJEDOR - At the list of voters for the early parliamentary elections in RS from the region of the municipality Prijedor are the names of 120 persons which didn't meet the prerequisites for registration at the last local elections. As stated the representative of Local Electoral Commission LEC Dusko Miloica, between them are mostly refugees and displaced persons which couldn't prove the continuity of staying in this municipality, and there are those who from local elections until now become legal aged.

SARAJEVO - The delegates of the National Assembly of Republika Srpska /RS/ adopted at the beginning of the session on Jahorina the Announcement of the president of the Parliament Dragan Kalinic, according to which the session is closed for publicity. The session is attended by 47 delegates, between which is five radicals, so the National assembly has the necessary quorum for bringing decisions.

SARAJEVO - The National assembly of RS will use all legal and political possibilities to work until it is possible, which is in the accordance of the Constitutional Court, by which is proclaimed as unconstitutional the dismissal of the National Assembly by the president of Republic Ms. Biljana Plavsic. "The National assembly exist and we shall very soon have another session before the coming elections" - stated the president of the Assembly Dragan Kalinic on Jahorina mountain, assessing that the early parliamentary elections are imposed.

SARAJEVO - the National assembly of RS verified the mandates of Sainovic Mirjana and Spaic Marko, the delegates of the Serbian Radical Party /SRS/, instead of Miroslav Radovanovic and Mika Perkovic, who in August resigned on the membership in the party. Radovanovic stressed that the resignations for the membership in SRS were offered because of disagreement with the policy of the Party Centre in Belgrade, which is, according to him, too much approached to the Socialistic Party and JUL /Yugoslav left/, which Radmanovic assessed as catastrophic for the Serbian people. However, Mirjana Sainovic negated these allegations claiming that is no any disputes within SRS of RS, and that the party discipline must be respected.

SARAJEVO - On the Jahorina mountain was held the regular session of RS Government on which passed the amendments on the laws which will be considered the National Assembly, and brought the decision about sorting of the goods for export or import, by which will be regulated the trade with abroad. The economic and trading relations require more liberal approach to the regulating of the trade with foreign countries. Namely, all RS neighbouring have since earlier times more liberal attitude in regulation of the flow and turnout with abroad, and the obligation of our Republic is to be included into the world business courses.

BRCKO - The SFOR soldiers didn't take away any evidence, nor hampered the investigation after the blast in the Orthodox Church the Saint Martyr Petka in Brcko - it is stated in the announcement of SFOR issued after the requirement of SRNA, so the accusations on account of SFOR would be clarified. In the text is stated that the members of SFOR from the base McGOvern near Brcko visited the church and made snapshots of the spot.

DERVENTA - On the main road Derventa - Prnjavor there are still three check- points set two days ago by illegal police from Banja Luka, proclaimed as illegal by RS Government, and where are being controlled all the vehicles from the direction of Derventa towards Prnjavor. The spokesman of IPTF Alun Roberts stated last night in Banja Luka that the check-points near prnjavor are set with the permission of IPTF, but didn't precisely stated until when they will act.

BANJA LUKA - The president of Serbian Patriotic Party of RS Slavko Zupljanin condemned the Socialistic Party /SP/ because, as he said, "with 12 delegate places and the secret coalition with the Party of Democratic Action /SDA/ and Croatian Democratic Union /HDZ/ want to take the power in the Banja Luka Parliament".

BANJA LUKA - With the list of 63 candidate and "the slogan for RS and better future" the Pensioner's Party is coming out on the next parliamentary elections. At the press conference in Banja Luka Stojan Bogosavac, the president and the first on the list of this party, stressed: "Through our sons and children we also created RS".

ZVORNIK - The delegates of the Coalition for whole and democratic B&H didn't come at the party session before forming the Zvornik's parliament, because "they are afraid that the members of Serbian police could arrest them" - stated the OSCE official Daniel Banua.

VLASENICA - At the constituting session of the municipal assembly of Vlasenica is performed the verification of the mandates of delegates, who after that gave the solemn oath. The session started with the 40 minutes of delay because the delegates of the Coalition for Whole and democratic B&H, who have 20 delegate seats, didn't appear.

BRCKO - The constituting session of municipal assembly /SO/ Brcko will be held on November 7 at 10,00 o'clock in the small saloon of the city Culture centre - confirmed its president Miodrag Pajic.

SEKOVICI - The president of the socialists from Sekovici Diko Stjepanovic announced that eight delegates of SP will participate in the work of Constitutional session of the municipal parliament, "despite the fact that the work of this party is in margins".

BRCKO - The constitutional session of municipal assembly /SO/ Pelagicevo was postponed for November 19, because after held seven hours session and two rounds of secret voting 35 delegates couldn't harmonise their stances about the division of functions.

NEW YORK - The director of the Belgrade's Holocaust museum Milan Bulajic expressed the amazement because the US and world media didn't attend the international conference "The dark secrets of Jasenovac", dedicated to that "ustashas" detention camp in which systematically and massively were killed Serbs, Jews and Gypsies.
