NEWS REVIEW, REPUBLIKA SRPSKA

SARAJEVO - The co-presiding of the Bosnia and Herzegovina (B&H) Council of ministers Boro Bosic and the Foreign Affairs deputy minister Dragan Bozanic talked in Pale with the Greek Ambassador to Sarajevo Procopios Matsouranis about forthcoming Summit of the southeastern European states presidents and about issues of the entering visas of Greek citizens in B&H. "Mr. Bosic and I had expressed interest for presence of the Serb representatives at that Summit, which will be held in Greek organisation at the Crete on November 3 and 4" - confirmed Bozanic for SRNA and added " we expressed our opinion that it will be good that after some representation of B&H through Mr. Izetbegovic and Mr. Zubak this time, the president from Republika Srpska in the B&H presidency Momcilo Krajisnik has a opportunity to be the Head of B&H delegation at Crete".

PODGORICA - The Prime minister of RS Government Gojko Klickovic congratulated to Milo Djukanovic at his victory on the Montenegrian presidential elections. "Mr. President, it is my great honour and pleasure to congratulate you in my own, and in the name of the RS Government, on your victory at the eletions for Montenegrian president".

SARAJEVO - The RS Government Minister for refugees and displaced persons Slobodan Ecimovic talked in Pale with the Head if the Coordination Centre of OSCE monitoring Mission Horst Denek about accommodation and returning problems of the refugees and displaced persons in RS and FB&H. Ecimovic emphasised that 37% of the RS population are refugees, and that 7,500 of 460,000 are placed in 63 collective centres. Around 3,500 of them has adequate accommodation, that is a result of our own efforts, and not of international aid which is insignificant.

BANJALUKA - The president of the RS Syndicate Union Cedo Volas warned in Banjaluka that it is high time for reconstruction of the syndicates in accord with the Dayton agreement, and that Sulejman Hrle cannot represent himself as president of the B&H Syndicate Union because that kind of the syndicate does not exist. Volas emphasised that in B&H must exist two syndicate unions.

BRCKO - The IPTF spokeswoman in Brcko Kathy Leden in the statement for SRNA denied the supervisor's Robert Farrand claim that the Muslim and Croatian policeman from the future multiethnic police under supervision, will be citizens of RS. "In the agreement between IPTF and RS authorities about police reconstruction from September 16 is not written that police officers had to be RS citizens or citizens from Brcko" - claims Mrs. Leden.

SARAJEVO - The Head of the World Bank Office in Sarajevo Rory O'Sullivan announced that the free railway traffic will be established at the complete RS and FB&H territory in the deadline of next four months. That was announced at yesterday finished meeting of Invest-Forum in Sarajevo, emphasising that the trains will travel trough RS and FB&H without any restrictions, for what, as he said, the authorities of both entity had issued written guarantee with an official seal.

SARAJEVO - The supreme NATO commander in Europe Wesley Clark and the Russian Army Chief of Staff Anatomy Kwashin will arrive in two-day visit to RS and FB&H - according to world press agencies. General Clark and his counterpart Kwashin will talk with representatives of the International Organisations in B&H, as well as with the authorities of RS and FB&H about current issues of the Dayton peace agreement implementation.

PARIS - The Communist paper "l'Hummanite" warns on existence of potential danger of a new warfare eruption in former Yugoslavia region, "especially in RS, at Kosovo and in Former Yugoslav Republic Macedonia". This warning the French paper explains with the fact that the US had used war "and infiltrated itself in this European region in which by now they did not have any influence, and trained and equipped whole armies".

SARAJEVO - The Croatian Minister of Foreign Affairs Mate Granic confirmed that Croatia has definitely rejected American proposals about leasing part of the Ploce harbour and corridor through Neum for Muslims - reported the Muslim radio in Sarajevo.

WASHINGTON - The US President Bill Clinton named William Dayl Montgomery for the new American Ambassador to Croatia, instead of Peter Galbright - announced the White House.

BONN - A group of the German politicians expressed their loathing after the video tape on which German soldiers using Nazi saluting and giving an imagine interview about extermination of Jews was discovered.

VIENNA - The great attention of the Austrian and German press draws the news that international community is considering the possibility that one U. S. satellite is taking over the programming of the Serbian radio-TV from Banja Luka and forward it to transmitters on Trebevic and Leoatar, by which will be covered the Eastern part of Republika Srpska until the end of electoral campaign. Austrian and German commentators assess that America wants to secure winning to president of RS Biljana Plavsic at the coming elections.

PARIS, LAUSANNE - The duchess Olga Karadjordjevic, who died on October 16 in Paris, was buried yesterday in Lausanne, where is the grave of her husband duke Pave, who died 21 years ago, announced the Western European eparchy of the Serbian Orthodox church /SPC/. The duchess Olga was the wife of duke Pavle Karadjordjevic, son of duke Arsen, brother of king Petar I The Liberator. The duke Pavle was the king's regent of Yugoslavia from 1934 until 1941.

PODGORICA - The constitutional court of Montenegro have brought the decision that after the complaint of Momir Bulatovic, the president of Montenegro and his Democratic Party of Socialists /DPS/, to hold the public discussion along with attendance with participants of the dispute, tonight at 19,00 h. Namely, DPS and his presidential candidate Momir Bulatovic, considering the presidential elections as irregular and that the votes were stolen, submitted the complaint to the Constitutional court of Montenegro yesterday against the solution of the Republican electoral commission, by which Milo Djukanovic was officially proclaimed as the winner on the presidential elections on October 19.

SARAJEVO - The Croatian member of Presidency Kresimir Zubak supported the decision of the Ministry of education of B&H about separation of the classes in secondary and primary schools on the national basis - reported the Moslem radio in Sarajevo. In the letter sent to the ministry, Zubak welcomed this decision by which is anticipated that the pupils could alone choose will they attend the lectures on Croatian or the language which Moslem call as Bosnian.
