NEWS REVIEW, REPUBLIKA SRPSKA

SARAJEVO - The president in the Presidency of B-H from Republika Srpska, Momcilo Krajisnik sent a telegram of condolence to high representative Carlos Westendorp, and UN special envoy Kai Eide regarding the tragic death of ambassador Gerd Weagner and his associates and diplomats. "I want express, in the name of the RS citizens, and personally, sympathies to the Office of High Representative, families of those killed and their governments", says the telegram by president Krajisnik.

SARAJEVO - RS prime minister, Gojko Klickovic, stated that the RS Government would provide funds for the Serb municipality of Stari Grad the revival of local economy, especially agriculture and cattle raising. In his working visit to this municipality Klickovic stated that the additional funds would be invested for the programmes of the development of Serb Sarajevo - Projects 1 and 2, concerning the construction of economic potentials and residential buildings.

SARAJEVO - The counting of votes from abroad in the Republic Counting Centre in Lukavica started today at about 19:00 hrs, confirmed the representative of the RS Government in the Centre, Bosko Siljegovic, He reminded that OSCE representatives promised a more expedite processing of appeals and objections from Srebrenica and Brcko. The Local electoral commission in Brcko objected regarding 3,916 Muslims put in the final voters list, out of which 2,800 have no right to vote in Srebrenica because they have never lived in this town.

SARAJEVO - The general director of the "Energopetrol", Milomir Draganic, informed RS prime minister, Gojko Klickovic that the Public Security Centre (CJB) in Banjaluka took from the Economic Bank Sarajevo hard currency proceedings amounting to DEM 456,020, Austrian shilling 274,990, Swiss shilling 1,220 and US $ 60. Draganic wrote in his letter to Klickovic that the mentioned funds were provided from the operations of the "Energopetrol" gas stations in the enterprise centres in Banjaluka and Prijedor.

DOBOJ - The president of the Municipal and District Board of the Serbian Radical Party (SRS) for Doboj and member of the Central National Direction, Mirjana Sainopvic, stated that the SRS was satisfied with the voters' choice displayed at the local elections in the municipality. "We won 20.68 per cent of votes in Doboj, which is a great success, because the SRS won only 5.6% of votes at last year's general elections", stated Sajinovic at a press conference.

TREBINJE - The president of the SRS Municipal Board of Trebinje, Zdravko Mrkonja, stated that this municipality would get the assembly it deserved, in which no party would have majority seats, so that all decisions would be taken with a full consideration of all suggestions that might help this municipality and its residents. Mrkonja stated at a press conference that the SRS Trebinje Board would not join coalitions, and reiterated that the SRS representatives, firmly committed to the principles of the Serbian national interest, would support all proposals so as to improve the quality of life in this city.

BEOGRAD - The SRS president Vojislav Seselj is satisfied with the results this party achieved at the local elections in RS. At a regular press conference in Belgrade, Seselj stated that the SRS, if it won the elections in Serbia, would consult all patriotic parties in RS in respect to the political crisis and especially to finding solution to the problem of Brcko.

BANJALUKA - The Union Board for Education, Science and Culture of Rs decided in Banjaluka to continue with a strike and to charge Government unless it pays salaries to educational workers by October 1.
