BANJALUKA - One of the greatest Christian feasts - the Easter was celebrated in the Holy Trinity Serbian Orthodox Church in Banjaluka with a rite held by Bishop of Banjaluka, Jefrem and clergy. The message of His Holiness the Patriarch of the Serbs, Paul, which he sent to all of the Orthodox faithful, clergy and monks, was read in the presence of a great number of the faithful, representatives of the civil and military authorities.

PODGORICA - The Day of Resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ - Pascha was celebrated by the holding of holy liturgies in all of the Orthodox churches in Montenegro. The central celebration took place in the Holy Resurrection Serbian Orthodox Cathedral in Podgorica.

CLEVELAND - Following their triumph at the latest elections, the nationalistic Croatian Democratic Union (HDZ) rejects the US proposals on building of peace in the region, opposes the return of the expelled Serbs and does not want to deliver the indicted war criminals, writes the Times. The most influential American daily, which was at the head of the Croatian propaganda machinery at one time, maintains that this is the reason the western diplomats are speaking with underestimation about the integration of Croatia into European institutions and its position as a military and economic partner of Europe.

SKOPLJE - Angered by the loss of their savings in fraudulent pyramid schemes, about 4,000 of the citizens of Bitolje demanded the Macedonia Parliament rejects the Government's proposal on paying per DM 3,000 in six instalments to the thrifty persons damaged, regardless of the deposit amount, calling this 'shameful legalisation of a plunder'. They also asked for the resignation of the Governor of the National Bank of BJRM, Borko Stanojevski and criminal charges to be brought against him because of his involvement in an affair of the savings bank 'TAP'.
