NEWS REVIEW, REPUBLIKA SRPSKA

SARAJEVO - The president in the Presidency of B&H from Republika Srpska /RS/ Momcilo Krajisnik received in Pale in the first courtesy call the charge d'affaires of the Greece Embassy Rousos Koundoros, with whom he talked about the work of the joint institutions, economic situation in RS, as well as the forming the Central Bank. During the talks the president Krajisnik expressed great gratitude to Greek people, who in the past war had been giving the generous aid to Serbian people.

BILECA - In the framework of the work visit to Serbian Herzegovina the delegation of the Government of RS headed by Gojko Klickovic was in Bileca, where they got acquainted with the course of realisation of the works on the project "higher horizons" /coal/, and the problems regarding the use of economic capacities were presented to them too. In talks with the directors of enterprises was talked about the refugees, displaced persons and functioning of the education and health systems.

TREBINJE - All that leads to preserving the unity of the Serbian people, the national-historical, cultural, informational and any other, have to be greeted - stated the minister of the Foreign Affairs of RS and the vice- president of the Government Aleksa Buha. While commenting the Agreement on special relations between RS and FR Yugoslavia, Mr. Buha explained that part of the leadership had objections, first of all because of the conviction that the Agreement could comprise more obligations, which had to be better and stronger elaborated.

BELGRADE - The representative of RS in the Arbitrage Commission for Brcko Vitomir Popovic stated that "all who desire to return to Brcko gradually and peacefully, could come". "Those who wish to return, previously must forward the request to UNHCR, to prove that they are owners of real estates and are accepting the sovereignty of RS", said Popovic in an interview for "Nasa borba" and added: "There will not be any greater movements of Serbs in that city, because we are wise and strong enough not to endanger this decision in no any part".

DOBOJ - The members of the Police Station in Doboj finished the registering of the newly inhabited Moslem population in the settlement Hodzici, which is situated in the zone of separation Eastern from Doboj, on the RS territory. "In the 53 families is registered 168 persons, of which 117 of full age. Next days the necessary checking will be done, so it would be determined whether the Moslems with these names were on the electoral lists from 1991", stated Zoran Zekic, the commander of the Police Station in

Doboj.

BANJA LUKA - The president of the Main Board of the Radical Fatherland Front /ROF/ "Nikola Pasic" Bozidar Bojanic stated that the Agreement on the special parallel relations between RS and FR Yugoslavia /FRY/ is useful for all Serbian people, and that in that way will be improved the status of RS in the international community. He precisely stated that the Agreement should be signed by the president of RS Biljana Plavsic, while assessing that "the governing party fell on the exam on democracy".

BANJA LUKA - The General Secretary of the Socialistic Party of RS Zeljko Mirjanic assessed that the ratification of the Agreement on special parallel relations between RS and FRY in the National Assembly of RS "represents the act over all party divisions and political differences". Mirjanic precisely stated that "the strengthening the relations between RS and FRY the main condition for security and development of economy of RS, and that this is one of the practical steps in the consistent conducting of the implementing the Dayton Agreement.

SARAJEVO - The spokesman of the High Representative Colum Murphy assessed in Pale that it is in the interest of RS and Federation B&H /FB&H/ that before the Donator's Conference in Brussels, which would be held in April, the packages of economic laws for income of capital would be passed, which would contribute the faster development of economy.

BIJELJINA - The enrolling into the electoral lists for local elections will start on May 2 - stated in Bijeljina the OSCE spokesman David Folley, adding that the Provisional electoral commission didn't determine the time limit for concluding that procedure yet. He stressed that the coming elections in RS and FB&H will be "most expensive and most complicated elections organised by the international community".

PALE - The president of the European Commission David Smith acquainted in Pale the minister of Agriculture of RS Miroslav Bogdanovic and Slobodan Cubrilo, from the Ministry for water supplying, about the programme for renewal of the agricultural production in '97 and '98, which would be realised from October in the Banja Luka region. The basic concept of the programme comprises the eight "rings" in FB&H and six in RS, and would secure the procurement of the basic mechanisation for at least 500 agricultural farms.

BELGRADE - The Assembly of FRY would have ratify the Agreement on the special parallel relations between FRY and RS. After the separate sessions of the Council of Citizens and Council of Republic of the National Assembly, which would separately ratify the Agreement, followed by the joint session of both councils in which the mandatory of the Federal Government will expose the composition and the programme of the Government.
