SARAJEVO - The first working meeting of the Council of Ministers produced rules of procedure agreed upon and a series of issues raised, starting from venues of meetings, telecommunication lines and basic equipment. The co- chairman of the Council, Boro Bosic, said the necessity of adoption of a law regulating the work of the Council and the law on immunity to protect all members of the joint body, was especially emphasised at session. "At the next meeting, scheduled for January 13, we will adopt the rules of procedure and will discuss communications and finance issues", explained Bosnic.

BANJALUKA - His Royal Highness, Prince Aleksandar Karadjordjevic, congratulated the St. Stefan, Saint Patron's Day of Republika Srpska (RS) to RS president Biljana Plavsic, saying that "the Serb people should seek to create a modern democratic society, which will be imbued with morale principles of Christianity".

BRUSSELS - The minister for civilian affairs and communications in the Council of Ministers of the Dayton B-H and the Serb member of the delegation of the Union of B-H at the Donors' Conference in Brussels, Spasoje Albijanic, stated for SRNA that the European Commission allowed RS the intervention aid amounting to 60,000,000 US Dollars. BEOGRAD - The deputy in the European Parliament, Doris Pack, stated at a press conference in Belgrade, that the complete acceptance of the OSCE recommendations is "the only option for Serbian Government". "There can be no dialogue between the European Parliament and the Government of Serbia until results of the local elections are recognised in 13 cities and eight Belgrade's municipalities", stated Pack, adding that "Serbian Government risks to isolate itself".

NOVI SAD - Several hundreds of demonstrators organised a "protest drive" throughout Novi Sad, to support demonstrators in Belgrade.

NIS - The vice-president of the Municipal Board of the Serbian Radical Party (SRS) for Nis, Srdjan Kuzmanovic, stated that the SRS supported demonstrators in Serbia, but that it did not want to openly take any of the sides.
