"The Army will not betray their commanders", stated the president of the Association of Soldiers in Brcko, Nenad Kojic, in the name of soldiers, disabled veterans and families of killed soldiers. The Brcko mayor Miodrag Pajic, president of the Brcko Municipal Board of the Serbian Democratic Party (SDS) Simo Kojic and members of the Chetnik Organisation in Brcko called for an allSerbian unity. SARAJEVO - The president of the National Assembly of Repub lika Srpska (RS) Momcilo Krajisnik expressed today his belief that the RS delegation will provide the other participants of the Florence Conference with adequate information concerning the future implementation of the Dayton agreement, and added that the same is expected to be done by the other side and the intonation al community. Krajisnik stated, following his meeting with the high representative of the international community Carl Bildt, that RS seeks for peace and the implementation of the peace accord, assessing that pressures and sanctions can only be coun terproductive. ZVORNIK - A group of RS intellectuals joined the Declaration on termination of the proceedings of the Hague Tribunal against RS presidents Radovan Karadzic and the VRS commander general Ratko Mladic, signed in Belgrade by 24 intellectuals from Serbia and Monte Negro. SARAJEVO - The ICRC started a public campaign of gathering data on persons missing during the war in RS and the Croat Muslim Federation, stated Lucy Strental, deputy chief of ICRC delegation in RS. At a press conference in Pale she represented the first booklet of data about 11,000 missing persons. BANJALUKA - The ICRC delegation chief in RS, Pierre Crenbil, stated at a press conference in Banjaluka that he could not specify what happened with four Serbs arrested by the Croat police in the vicinity of Glamoc, saying that the ICRC does not know anything about the case. While talking on the exhumation of 97 mass graves registered thus far in the former B-H, Crenbil announced that the ICRC is to start its work on the issue, under an agreement of the former warring sides and with the presence of international experts. VISEGRAD - The Visegrad mayor Branimir Savovic talked with the ICRC delegation and the representatives of the Swede board for Aid on ways of resolving the problem of the collective accom modation in the city. Following the visit to the collective centre in the "Ivo Andric" secondary school building,, where over 300 refugees are housed, the head of the UNHCR delegation Cathy Woker stated that she will "alarm other humanitarian agencies to help the displaced persons now accommodated in collective centres to find better accommodation". BEOGRAD - The president of the Democratic Party of Serbia (DSS) Vojislav Kostunica assessed that the conditions under which the elections will be held in RS and Serbia are the most impor tant concern in the electoral process. BEOGRAD - The president of the Serbian Radical Party (SRS) Vojislav Seselj, stated that during his visit to RS a joint elec toral campaign of the SRS and the Serbian Democratic Party (SDS) was not formally agreed,, but it is certainty after the elec tions. "We will soon held a high level meeting with SDS represen tatives in Pale, and make an agreement about the joint presiden tial and deputy candidates", stated the SRS president. BEOGRAD - An assistant with the Belgrade Institute for International Policy, Milos Knezevic, warned that the opening of the Kossovo issue in the socalled post-Dayton phase endangers the integrity of Serbia and Yugoslavia, as well. "It is a phase in which, following the settling of the situation in the former B - H, the Serbia's territorial organisation should be reshaped", assessed Knezevic. BEOGRAD - The Academician Ljubo Tadic assessed that it is a high time for dealing with all the more alarming problem of the Kossovo and Metohija, for the situation is getting complicated. "A statement by president of the Serbian Academy of Science and Art, Aleksandar Despic is not a position which should not be neglected, for it has its logic and meaning", stated Tadic for SRNA. BEOGRAD - The DSS Board for Human Rights of Serb Refugees, warned that the "regime in Serbia deals with the issue of housing and status of refugees only as a chance for trade with fates of unfortunate people". In an communique, the Board says that "the registration of refugees in Serbia was completed in the same way as it started - by threats to people who are not to be blamed because they lost their homes."
