The agenda includes seven items, among which a decision of interparty elections. SARAJEVO - The president of the Republika Srpska (RS) and chiefin-command of its the RS Army, Radovan Karadzic, delivered military flag to the SarajevoRomanija Corps units, on which occasion decorations were also presented. BANJALUKA - The vicepresident of the Interim Electoral Commission and OSCE senior adviser, Kenneth Scot, stated that the first meeting of the Council of political parities and a meeting of media representatives will b held tomorrow in Banjaluka. As was announced from the regional OSCE Office in Banjaluka, mem bers of the Interim Electoral Commission, as well as the repre sentatives of political parties to take part at the coming elec tions, are invited to the meeting. CLEVELAND - "New York Times" published an article about NATO, its credibility and reasons for existence. "A successful miltiary mission in the former B-H confirmed its credibility and reason for existence following the cold war", writes the U.S. daily, adding that "a general success still does not lay with a miltiary, but political foundations, fragile as peace is itself". The NYT concludes that, if the Bosnian war renews, the credibility and reasons of existence of NATO will be in question. The AP writes that the MuslimCroat Federation is drastically eroding, so Washington and the whole international community are fearful that, the war between Federal partners might resume, following NATO's poll out from Bosnia. HAMBURG - The German press pay a lot of attention to prob lems within the CroatMuslim Federation, and transmits a warning by U.S. general George Joulwan that the Federation is unstable and that the international factors have to exert a pressure upon Zagreb and the government in Sarajevo. NATO SecretaryGeneral, Javier Solana, appealed on Croatian president Franjo Tudjman and the Muslim leader Alija Izetbegovic, to intensify their efforts in maintaining the Federation as a base of the Dayton agreement. German papers point out at the decisiveness of the UN to, in case of a conflict with the CroatMuslim Federation, resort to tough measures. BERLIN - German media write about consent of Serbia's presi dent Slobodan Milosevic, to deliver Drazan Erdemovic and Radoslav Kremenovic, to the Hague Tribunal. The Berlin paper "Wochen Post" wonders why Milosevic has been so stubbornly refusing to cooper ate, and now agrees to deliver the suspicious to the Tribunal, and tries to discover Erdemovic's and Kremenovic's motives for their cooperation with the Tribunal. /end/ |
