[01] RUSSIANS SUPPORT MILOSEVIC AND DEFEND KARADZIC
Belgrade, May 31, 1996 (Press TWRA)
"Negotiations were great and
I am very satisfied with their course", Russian Foreign Minister,
Jevgenij Primakov stated, after yesterday's talks with Serbian
President Slobodan Milosevic. Primakov concluded Milosevic also
tries to fully implement all Dayton and Paris accord commitments,
in which he is fully supported by Russia. During his two-day visit
to Belgrade, Primakov also talked with Montenegrian President
Momir Bulatovic as well as with "FRY" President Zoran Lilic.
Official comment of this meeting mentions " solving of the
question of Prevlaka is very important for long-lasting peace in
the area". "FRY" Minister of justice, Uros Klikovac informed
Russian diplomat, Belgrade does not prepare any exchange in its
law-system which could enable cooperation with the Hague Court.
Such attitude of Belgrade concerning the issue is close to the
Russian opinion, for diplomats in Primakov company claim arresting
of Karadzic and Mladic would imperil even more seriously peace in
BH. In talks with Serbian Foreign Minister, Milutinovic, Russian
side expressed readiness to reinforce "FRY" efforts to enter in
UN, OESC, MMF, World bank, World trade organization. (end) M.S.
[02] LETTER OF SWEDEN PEN TO PRESIDENT TUDJMAN
Stockhlom, May 31, 1996 (Press TWRA)
Members of Sweden PEN sent
a letter to Croatian President dr. Franjo Tudjman due to the
arrestement of "Feral Tribune" Editor-in-Chief, Viktor Ivancic.
"We think the Government is extremely bad advised if further
annoying of individuals, authors or members of journalist
association is going to be allowed. Your country will be
inevitably faced with negative international critics, in the case
such annoying is continued", members of Sweden PEN stated in the
letter. They called Tudjman to stop such acts because, as they
think, there are no conditions, in one democratic country,
according to which systems of direct or indirect threatening of
journalists from the side of civil officials could be accepted.

[03] SERBS FROM MOSTAR WILL GO TO THE POLLS IN MOSTAR
Mostar, May 31, 1996 (Press TWRA)
EU Administrator R. Casado
informed, on yesterday's press-conference, citizens of Mostar who
moved, during the aggression, to third countries, will also be in
the position to go to the local polls, our correspondent reported.
This rule is not referred to Mostar Serbs who, according to the
insisting of the Croatian side, must vote in Mostar.
Representative of the Serb people to EU, Obren Lozo criticized
this resolution, requesting Serb refugees be given right to vote
in the "Serb entity" and "FRY" where they are temporarily
situated. He asked for installing of polling places in Nevesinje
and Belgrade. This proposal was accepted by Bosniaks but rejected
by Croats. Owing to such results, Bosnian Serbs would probably
must go to the polls directly in Mostar, but it is still uncertain
how many of them would appear. (end) M.S.

bill for all dead and injured, they fight with him to recognize

[09] ERDEMOVIC ADMITTED ALL CRIMES
The Hague, June 1, 1996 (Press TWRA)
D. Erdemovic, charged for
war-crimes committed in Srebrenica, confessed his crimes
yesterday. The Court spokesman stated Erdemovic also provided to
investigators some useful testimonies that could be used in the
charges against Bosnian SerbsF leaders, Karadzic and Mladic, who
are accused for slaughtering more than 6.000 Bosniaks after the
fall of Srebrenica. As Erdemovic avowed his guilty, he would be
the first regularly examined by the Court. He admitted killing of
70 Bosniaks in the farm near Srebrenica and added, for his
defense, he was forced to do so, otherwise, he would have also
been killed with the victims. For this crime, the Court foresees a
long-life sentence. It is expected the Erdemovic defense would
request for less serious sentence for he confessed his crimes and
cooperated with the Court. Two days ago, a group of six juridical
experts burnt down a corn-field near Pilice (Srebrenica) in order
to find evidence on the crimes confessed by Erdemovic. (end) S.K.
