FEAST OF AGIOS GEORGIOS April 23rd KOUFONISSIA The feast includes a litany of the saint’s icon on the seaside drive, followed by boatas in the sea, all the way. During the litany, with potatoes or spaghetti and “patsas” in vinegar. The expenses are covered by “apanigiras”.

FEAST OF VIRGIN MARY August 15th KOUFONISSIA The people of Pano Koufonissi come to Kato Koufonissi and have a service at the chapel of Virgin Mary. In the evening, there is a dance in Epano Koufonissi.
