The coffee bars on the waterfront are open all day and serve breakfast too. "Karnayo", with its tasty omelettes and pleasant ambiance, "Nectar" and "Vitamine C", with the wonderful fruit juices, are among the best. The island's tavernas and restaurants offer fresh fish, seafood and also traditional delicacies like the famous "marathotiganites", chickpeas in the oven, and local cheeses like "kefalotyri" and "mizithra". "Takis's Taverna", "Orea Klio", "Stavros's Taverna", "Cyclades", and "Petros" in Hora serve tasty home-cooked food with fine dry wine. A visit to Livadi should be concluded with eating at "Stamatis's Taverna", "Cavo D' Oro" or "Perseus". In Psili Ammos, there is the picturesque "Manolis's Taverna". For those who prefer other tastes, there are ouzo places which serve ouzo and tasty titbits like "Paras", souvlaki places as well as the Italian and Indonesian restaurants "Serfanto" and "Karavi".
