Milos has many picturesque coffee shops and candy stores where one can have coffee or taste local sweets like "koufeto", a sweet made of honey and marrows. "Cafe Popy's Bar", "Cafe Greco", "Cavo d' Amore" and "Aktaio" in Adamas serve coffee, ice cream, and pizza. One should also try the delicious "galaktoboureko" and "ekmek ice cream" at "Milos" and "Artemis". "Dinos's Cafe" in Apollonia is a nice place to enjoy a cup of coffee. The island's tavernas, ouzo places and restaurants serve tasty seafood, fresh fish and traditional delicacies like "pitarakia", which is made from excellent local cheese. For those who prefer more conventional tastes, there are pizzarias, spaghetti, fast food and souvlaki places. There are good tavernas in Plaka, Triovassalos, Zefiria, Klima, Paleochori, and Agia Kiriaki. However, most tourists prefer Adamas, where there are the restaurants "Kinigos", "Chrissi Akti", "Trapatseli's", the bar-restaurant "Puerto", and the steak houses "Flisvos", "Zigos", and "Pitsounakia". There are also the restaurants "Barco" and "Navagio" which have a great variety of food along with excellent local wine. In beautiful Paleochori, one can eat at the cafe-restaurant "Artemis", and at "Sirocco" which also serves breakfast. In Provatas, there is the restaurant "Agyra", and in Mavra Gremna, the wonderful "Akrogiali". In Apollonia, one should go to the fish taverna "Kapetan Nicolas", and the grill house "Lembesis". Lastly, in Plaka the tavernas "Diporto" and "Arhondoula" serve delicious specialties.
