CARNIVAL Halloween KITHNOS On Saturday, before the last Sunday of Halloween, the locals dress "Lazanis", the dummy of the Carnival. The following morning, people with bambounes and violns take the dummy from door-to door. Later they burn the dummy at the square of Agia Triada.

FEAST OF AGIOS ILIAS July 20th KITHNOS One of the most significant feasts in Hora, the feast of Agios Ilias, in July 20th takes place on the mountain. the feast involves dinner and dancing to tsambounes and violins.

FEAST OF VIRGIN MARY August 15th KITHNOS The feast takes place at the Monastery of Panagia Nikous. The attendants are offered stuffed tomatoes, soup and pop-roast. The feast last for two days, while people dance to the sounds of tsambounes and violins.

FEAST THE DAY BEFORE THE ANNIVERSARY OF AG. THEODORI Ag. Theodori’s Eve KITHNOS The night before the celebration of Ag.Theodori, the young boys and girls light a fire with olive twigs.

FEAST OF PANAGIA KANALA August 15th & Septembet 8th PANAGIA KANALA The feasts of Panagia Kanala are celebrated on the yard of the church of the same name.
