In Kimolos, this small Cycladic corner, the predominate colour is white. Its houses, built one next to the other, are almost identical, and its streets are made of cement and not of plates like the rest of the Cyclades. Mansions with bas relief lintels adorn the historical centre of Hora. Its castle looks like the ones on Sifnos and Folegandros with the external line of the houses forming a wall with low doors. Life on the island is quite serene. The locals are simple people who enjoy life in their own quiet way. The Cycladic atmosphere is everpresent at their festivals with fast dances and traditional songs.
