Nikolaos Zahariadis: Biographical Note
NIKOLAOS ZAHARIADIS received his PhD (1992) in political science
from the University of Georgia. He is assistant professor of political
science and international relations at the State University of New York-New
Paltz. He is the recipient of the Samuel H. Beer Dissertation Prize by the
British Politics Group and the Distinguished Teacher of the Year Award by
the State University of New York-New Paltz. His research, funded by the
Foundation for Hellenic Studies and the State University of New York among
others, focuses on European political economy and Balkan nationalism and
security. He is the author of Markets, States, and Public Policy:
Privatization in Britain and France (University of Michigan Press),
and the editor of two others on Theory and Method in Comparative
Politics and Contending Perspectives in International Political
Economy. His work has also appeared in numerous journals including
International Studies Quarterly, Political Science
Quarterly, Mediterranean Quarterly, and others.
